****The Next morning… Sept. 24th****
“Hey Hoochie!” called Taylor, my best friend in the world meeting me at my locker.
“Hey Hoe." I said
We laughed at our greeting. You see we’ve been best friends since freshman year when we met at the freshman lock in. We lay out in the courtyard at school watching the stars and listening to Taylor Swift. Ironic huh? Ever since then we have been pretty much inseparable.
“Got your dress all figured out for tomorrow hot stuff?”
“For sure babycakes.”
A freshman boy walked by and looked at us. He actually stopped to see if we would kiss so Taylor and I being the girls that we are played it up a bit.
“Baby did you get the stuff ready for tonight? I want it t be EXTRA special. A night I’ll NEVER forget.” Tay said with a wink pretending to be completely oblivious to the drooling freshman.
“Sweetie you know I would NEVER let you down. Everything will be remarkable. Something for the history books.”
I swear the kids jaw was on the floor.
We both smiled and nodded. Being best friends gave us the ability to converse without having to actually talk.
We turned to the freshman and decided to crush his fantasy.
“Hey freshmeat, pick up your tongue. You do know that you can get several STD’s from it being on this floor right?” Tay said.
I laughed and saw the fear cross his face. Tay was always supposed to be the mean one where as I would be the sweet and innocent one. It worked best for us since she was the Irish chick and I was the “little sister” as commonly known around the school.
“Tay be nice. And… Connor?” I said glancing at his student Id on its lanyard.
“Yeah?” he asked apprehensively.
“She’s like my sister. Try to hide your fantasies. Any other seniors and it would have been SOOO much worse. And way more embarrassing. Kay?”
“Y-yeah. Thanks Em.” He said thankfully. Just then he glanced to his side and saw all the freshman and sophomore guys staring at him. Even some of the juniors were looking at him.
“Alright well I gotta go. Going to be late to class” he said embarrassed.
As Connor was walking down the hall I watched as a junior tripped him knocking his books out of his arms. Tay and I exchanged looks and walked back over to him. Tay laid into the guy who tripped him and I helped him up.
“Connor, baby. Wanna join Tay and I on our exclusive date tonight and go to this AWESOME senior party we heard about?” I asked him loudly so everyone could hear, noticing the looks he was now getting.
“Uh… sure… I mean yeah that’d be cool.” He stammered at first then caught his composure.
“Cool. Well here’s my number. Text me!” I said jotting my number down on his binder. Then Tay did the same. We each gave him a kiss on the cheek before we walked off to class.
Tay and I weren’t the top of the social status actually we were about in the middle but we were some of the few people in our school who were nice enough to help a kid out when he was being bullied. We hate bullies. I hate them because I was bullied when I moved to this town when I was 9. It sucked. Tay just doesn’t like them because as she says she’s Irish, and she has to take her anger out somehow. She’s actually very cute standing at a very imposing 5’4” with red hair and the ability to burn instead of tan. I love the girl. She would always have my back no matter what. Like I told Connor, she’s my sister.
