Fake Article?????

I honestly kind of think this article is fake for many reasons. Let me give you them:

1: It sounds like it was written by some poor 9 year old trying to write Fanfiction. Like its extremely unprofessional, and this is the esteemed Rolling Stone writing it.

2: Do you really think 5sos's management would allow the boys to come clean about possible groupies and how they used girls for publicity? Like I know that this would be a huge publicity stunt, but degrading women like this? That's gonna make the feminist 5sosfam v angry, and that's how you lose stans, and that's how you lose money. Sorry, but that just seems like a really stupid idea for publicity.

3: The article was "leaked." It was meant to come out in January 2016. How are we to know that this article is completely fake and that it isn't the actual leaked article? It could have been made by some troll for all we know.

4: Freaking Architecture is in it. Why. Why would you include Asparagus in a 5sos interview. She's not relevant. And I really doubt Luke would just confirm Larzaylea in a Rolling Stones article. He's never once mentioned her, so why confirm it out of the blue now? Also, all the events of Larzayla holding hands everywhere in public and going to lunch together with her hand on his lap the entire time hasn't really happened so I mean

5: anyone notice that we only have one picture of the article? And that the Australian version of the article is completely different? And the authors are different? Yeah, maybe the horrible sexist one we have is fake. It's very easy for someone to have typed up a horrid article about 5sos, printed it on some glossy paper, and stuck in some old Rolling Stone article, making it look real.

6: The article doesn't say who it's written by. Articles almost always state who it was written by, and this one doesn't. Possibly because the person who wrote it didn't want to be discovered as the person who started all this drama? Hm? And it wasn't all written by one person, because magazines are never written by one person by themselves. So I find that very suspicious and a very important detail that's missing.

And even if the article does happen to be real, I feel like what was said was taken completely out of context and blown out of proportion. What the boys said about the groupies and taking advantage of girls was about when they were younger, from their first tour with 1D. It was their first time getting a bunch of girls thrown at them, so really what did you expect? Also, Calum admitted that he did "get a bit reckless." The boys have matured a lot now, and I think those quotes were meant to reflect back on what they were like when they were younger, not to brag about all these groupies they have.

And I think a certain thing Calum said was meant to be sarcastic, but the author of the article didn't use any dialogue cues, and it's hard to note sarcasm in text, so that was taken out of context as well.

After reading the article, I think most of it is fine. It's just that little bit that got taken out of context and blown extremely out of proportion.

And remember, this one little article doesn't define what 5sos is at all.

Ashton is kind, caring, and protective of all of us.

Michael is extremely sweet, and is so close to us he could back up a mile and still be right next to us.

Calum cares about us more than anything, and is extremely thankful for us.

Luke loves us more than the world, and is constantly telling us exactly that.

So if you're seriously leaving the fandom over one little paragraph that was completely blown out of proportion, fine. Go. We don't need that kind of negativity.
