T H E
M O N S T E RShe sat, quietly.
Amidst the deathly silence.
She festered in her dark blankets,
shivering and slumbering.
Her memories drowning under fear and shadows.
Her frame pale and glass shattered.
Her heart like a cold hollowed out wound.
She lay there.
In the midst of the silence,
just waiting for the moment when her death would come to an end.
Yes, she lay there.
In the dead of silence.
Almost a monster.
That's worse than the one raging within her.
What will they say?
When the sickness that plagues her,
finally devours her whole?
Doesn't it feel so wrong?
She sat, quietly.
Amidst the heavy silence.
Festering in illness.
Of the fear called...Monster.
