Chapter Three-Pretty Little Amy Rose

The rain drizzled down the glass.Amy Rose had her elbows propped up on the window sill,watching the water droplets slide down slowly.The sky dimmed to an ugly grey,the brightness slowly fading.Time ticked by and Sonic the hedgehog and Tails haven't come back from Angel Island.Knuckles the echidna sipped from a cup that had steam rising from it.

He cleared his throat and glanced at Amy.Knuckles rested on the bed,his legs dangling on the side.He finally stood,only wobbling slightly as he walked toward Amy.Standing behind her he startled her by putting his large hand on her shoulder.

"They'll be fine,you worry too much,"he said effortlessly.

The pink hedgie narrowed her eyes at him,"Sonic took my satchel,and it had the shard in it.If he gets near the master Emerald the same thing that happened to you can happen to him.And poor Tails,Sonic could snap him in half."

Amy shuddered at the thought.Knuckles didn't let things get too him so easily yet realization was finally hitting him.If Amy's prediction was right...He winced in slight fear as he himself started pacing.With a finger tapping his chin,he surveyed the window,watching the rain just like Amy had.

"...We need to go check up on them,"Knuckles said suddenly.

Amy turned to him and shook her head sadly.

"We can't.You're injuries-"

"Forget my injuries,they probably need our help.And they could do something to the master Emerald...."Knuckles trailed off.

Amy ignored the last part and glanced back at the window.

"How are we going to get up there?You crashed my plane remember?"she said flatly.

Knuckles clenched his jaw,"Actually I don't remember and we can borrow one of Tail's planes.I mean he has to have more than just two planes knowing his addiction with them."

Amy bellowed a deep and exaggerated sigh of frustration,"True.I guess we can go to Tail's and Sonic's house and pick up one of his planes."

Knuckles nodded and made his way to the door.Amy grabbed some things such as bandages,aspirin,a bottled water,and cream for wounds.The echidna waited impatiently as Amy searched for a bag.

"Can you hurry up?We have no time to lose."he mumbled.

Finally she found a worn out brown shoulder bag and put all the contents in.Running toward Knuckles she slipped the bag on her shoulder.

"Finally,"Knuckles grumbled.

Amy rolled her eyes as the two of them exited the house.They headed in the same direction Sonic and Tails had gone in.Soon they found their house even though Knuckles was running out of energy.Amy scanned the yard and found no plane.She looked around the empty land,the only thing there was the house,a large garage on the side,and a treeless field.

"There has to be a plane around here somewhere...."Knuckles said out of breath.

Amy eyed the garage and had an idea.She walked up to the house and was fortunate that the door was unlocked.Opening it slowly she slipped in with Knuckles not too far behind.Amy ignored the pictures and the house set up with only one thing on her mind.She knew where the garage was even though she has only been here once or twice.

Amy found what she was looking for.A door that led to the garage.She flipped on the light switch on the wall and opened the garage door that was once locked.When she slipped inside she saw that Knuckles must of stayed back.
Amy scanned the garage.She knew now that it was Tail's workshop.Her eyes wondered from the desk with the tools to the center of the garage.
