"Mabel, this is so stupid..."

"Come on, Dipper! Just give it a chance, please? I'm sure you could meet someone on here that you could at least become friends with!"

"Ugh, why is my social life so important to you?"

"Are you complaining that I care about you too much, bro-bro? 'Cause I can stop caring at all, you know."

"No, no, no, no! I didn't mean that-"

Mabel just bursted into a fit of laughter. Dipper sighed and rolled his eyes, but a smile crept up onto his face. He playfully shoved her and she crawled off of his bed.

She looked at him and chirped, "Tell me how it goes!"

Dipper was about to argue with her again, but she quickly dashed out of the attic, closing the door behind her. The brunette sighed and pulled his laptop closer on his lap. He got comfortable as he finished filling out the last few bits of his profile.

He still thought that any kind of dating social medias or websites were dumb, but he did it for Mabel. He knew if he didn't, she'd never shut about it... So, it was either do it or be pestered about it till you do it.

It was one of Dipper's least favorite things about Mabel: her persistence... But he loved her regardless.

He had just finished putting his profile together. He sat there for a second, staring at the screen. Dipper wasn't entirely sure what to do next...

Then he saw a button on the website that caught his eye.

Users in YOUR area!

Well, if I'm going to meet someone, why not have them close, right? Dipper told himself as he clicked it.

Afterwards, only about twenty profiles popped up at first. Some looked like spam accounts, which didn't surprise him at all.

Dipper decided to randomly choose one. He immediately backed out when he saw that the user was looking for a female. So, he chose another one. The user had terrible grammar and spelling. Dipper gave an annoyed sigh and once again went back to the list of users.

The next profile he chose was much better than the last. He started reading what the user was looking for.

...Preferably male, but I'm willing to make exceptions. Under twenty years old. Not overwhelmingly outgoing but not too quiet and shy. Has some-what of a sense of humor. Doesn't mind some fun and can put up with sarcasm...

Dipper stopped reading, as there wasn't that much more to read anyways. He moved on to look at the section of the profile about the user themself... But there wasn't that much there.

All that Dipper could find was that the user was a seventeen-year-old male who was "described as a bit narcissistic by others". He also said that he lived alone and didn't really have any friends or family... Which was odd because he was seventeen. Shouldn't he at least be living with some family or know anyone from school?

Something about the mysterious lacking of his profile seemed to interest Dipper. The guy seemed okay, but Dipper wanted to know more... And he thought that he kind of fit what the user was looking for, but that didn't really matter to him.

He thought for a moment before hesitantly choosing to message him.

Hi. I'm a new user and happened to find your profile. You seem like a good guy and I was wondering if you'd like to talk? Message me back when you get the chance.

Dipper wasn't entirely sure what to say in the message. He was kind of worried that what he did say wasn't good enough to get a reply. He found himself getting anxious over it and shook his head. He just kept telling himself how stupid this whole thing was.
