Lovesick for Jai Courtney

Part #4: chapter four.

5:30 comes along quite rapidly for my liking. I lay on my bed scrolling through Instagram.

I hear a knock at my door, it creaks open. All of a sudden Grandfather coming bursting into my room like a lunatic and start to tickle me around my ticklish spot-my sides. I laugh loud and hysterically.

"Stop Grandfather, you got me. You got me" I manage to say between laughing and trying to catch my breath. He stops tickling me, and pushes back a strand of hair from my face.

"Hello beautiful, how are you?" He asks, sitting at me feet. I sit up to face him and cross my legs like a child on the mat at school. I hold my legs in place with both hands.

"I'm splendid, Grandfather. And how are you on this fine, sunny day that we call Christmas?" He sighs and grabs my right hand, his smile has disappeared, which has been replaced with sadness. "I'm okay, thank you for asking."

We hold hands in silence for a moment, until Mum decide to come and break it. "Sorry to interrupt, but Dad you're caregiver is on the phone looking for you". Him and I look at each other with plastered smiles on our faces. "Okay, thank you, sweetie. I guess I better attend to this phone".

All three of us walk downstairs together, then disperse like three electrons-Mum to the kitchen, Grandfather to phone in the hallway next to the porch door, and I go into the lounge to join Dad with watching motorsport. Dad and I have that in common-we both love our motorsport.

Dinnertime had gone by too quickly, and the entertainment on unwrapping gifts-in fact the entire evening went by quickly. And soon enough we were farewelling Grandfather from the door at 7:45pm.

Evan and Amy got ready for bed, Mum helped clean, dry and put Amy in her pajamas. Evan can do that sort of thing by himself. Dad and I help out by doing the dishes, whilst the other three members of the house were occupied.

Dad and I finished the dishes at 8pm. Then we said our "goodnight"'s to Evan and Amy. I, too, then said my goodnight to Mum and Dad. I then went upstairs to get washed and ready for bed. I had then gone to bed because of how exhausting the day had felt like to me.
