One Piece Season 8- The Collision of two men’s pride: Luffy vs Usopp

      Once we got Usopp back to the Merry Luffy tried explaining to him that instead of repairing the Merry we would just buy a new ship. Usopp couldn’t take it he said, that Luffy was abandoning his duties to the ship, and decided that he would leave the crew. Tensions were stirred as Usopp claimed that he would battle Luffy for the Merry. Which in all honesty I don’t know why Luffy just didn’t give it to him it’s not like Luffy was going to use it after getting a new ship. But then I saw the other side of it, from Luffy’s side. It wasn’t easy for Luffy either to make this decision, it’s not like Luffy didn’t care about the Merry, and there Usopp went putting down Luffy like he didn’t even think that Luffy cared.

      So when ten o'clock came and Luffy and Usopp fought it was the worst feeling you could have ever felt, because it felt like two pieces of your heart were fighting with each other and you couldn’t side with either, because they both belong to you. So you just have to sit there motionless and watch the blood battle.

Usopp knew that he had to fight dirty in order to stand a chance against Luffy and that’s what he did. He fought like an asshole. Real men wouldn’t just use those moves and expect and actual result. This would just prove the reason why I think Usopp could never really be the warrior that we wants to be unless he stops this.

      The battle went on and even though Usopp fought pretty dirty and got Luffy pretty good. But he is fighting Luffy, and Luffy was able to take down Usopp once he was finally able to get a hit in. Luffy just left Usopp there as he said, “The Going Merry is yours,” then he looked over at us who was waiting and watching from the Going Merry. “We’re leaving the Merry we’ll pack are things and go in the morning,”

      That morning we did just as he said with blank faces, and then with a thought about how we would be able to afford another ship in the first place was starting to become a mystery.

      Then things started becoming slow. After a while of waiting in the hotel room that we had to get, Nami found out that somebody shot Iceburg, the mayor of Water Seven. Then we would later find out that Robin had something to do about it. Then we wondered where Robin was. Where had she been this entire time?

      I was with Luffy and Nami when we decided to go to the hotel to see what happened to Iceburg since apparently Robin had something to do with his assault. However right when we got to the hotel we got cornered by Franky himself, who was upset that we demolished his house and his brothers. And Luffy who was also upset because this was the guy that had his brothers beat up Usopp, and steal his money.

      I knew that I should stick with my captain on this one but Franky just didn’t seem like the one to blame here. It seemed like Usopp was the one the blame here since he was such a putz for getting robbed. And Franky wasn’t even there when Usopp was robbed, I was with Franky.

      “Woah, what is this guy? Luffy asked as fire shot from Franky’s mouth and then he dove into the water.

      “He can’t be a devil fruit user if he jumped into the water.” Nami said looking over into the river.

      “He’s not a devil fruit user,” I said looking over at Nami and then to Luffy, “He’s a cyborg.”

      Then the Galley La Company comes barging into their fight, which was good because I didn’t’ want to have to. They say that both us, the Strawhat pirates, and Franky are being accused for Iceburg’s assault, since Iceburg said that Robin was there when he got shot.

      Which really confused, us and Luffy most of all, because he didn’t understand why Robin would hurt anybody. Then Franky got angry that Galley La stole Luffy from fighting Franky so Franky started fighting Galley La. Luffy getting outraged he raises some chaos, and demanded to see Iceburg. So Luffy and Nami go off to go see Iceburg, and I got off to find everybody else, especially Robin.

      Maurice caught up with me from being with Sanji and Chopper, and told me that the Aqua Laguna is coming, which is this massive high tide that covers most of the island. I told him what was up and we went to go look for Robin or anybody else for that matter. When we looked in a bar we found Franky I went over and sat by him. He was talking to the old lady that we met early, which Maurice and I were surprised that he knew her.

      And when he saw me, he goes, “Oh, hey it’s you,” he then had the bartender pour me a mug of pepsi. “Bought this for you before you could even tell me go, so drink up.”

      “Thanks,” I said looking at it, thinking that he could just think nothing of me that I was just with Luffy, and him and the others tore down his home.

      “You know the Aqua Laguna is coming tonight,” said Kokoro the old lady.

      “Really? I’d thought the wind was blowing pretty hard.” Franky answered.

      “You better cover up your home.” Kokoro told him.

      “Haha, I would but I don’t have a home anymore,” Franky laughed.

      Feeling responsible I said, “Yeah, I’m sorry about that,”

      “Nah, it’s no big deal, I know you didn’t do it,” he laughed.

      They went on and once I finished the drink I still had to go catch up with the others, so I left and let Franky have his way and paid for my soda.

      Once I caught up to the other’s at the hotel, Chopper said that Robin didn’t want to be a part of the crew anymore and Sanji went after her. So we didn’t know where Sanji was but we didn’t care. Then we went back to where Iceburg was because we knew Robin was going to go back and talk to Iceburg.
