CHAPTER 3: The Early Moon

They keep as quiet as a mouse making sure whatever is killing people won't hear them.

'Shh' they say to eachother back and forth panicking inside.

"Guys we can't just sit here all day, 'It' will eventually find us." Says Casey finally.

"Yeah, I agree. But how will we get out of here?" Katie says in agreement while feeling under pressure.

They all brainstorm, except for Lola who is the adventurous type. "I'm going to get a closer look." She says while stretching from sitting for so long.

"Lola! Why would you do that? It's too dangerous!" Screams Tammy.

Everyone flops back onto their bellies. They hear something coming towards them. "I'm going no matter what you guys say, there's no point in just lying around!" She crosses her arms. " Tell my family I love them." Lola says joking.

Lola quietly walks over to where they saw the first girl being dragged away. "It's clear, come over here!"

All the girls turn around to grab their bags they took with them and fling them over their shoulders just to turn around to find Lola on the ground not breathing. Katie runs as fast as she can to help her while everyone else creeps behind her.

"Is she ok?" Ask Casey wanting to get out of this place so badly.

"I........don't think so!" Katie says while trying to revive her.

Another piercing scream awakens all their minds to the fact that they don't know what is happening or what will happen to them. 'RUN!' They all scream. Katie grabs Lola's arm and drags her with her, only to realize she isn't moving.

Katie turns around to see Lola being pulled the other way, by something she can't see. She tugs harder and harder, but she still doesn't have Lola in her possession. "What do you want with us?" She screams.

"Leave her or DIE." Says the invisible creature.

She drops Lola and runs while watching her friend be dragged away. "Why, why is this happening to us? What did we do so wrong?" She screams while baling her eyes out.

Suddenly a green cloud of fog surrounds Katie. "Help! I can't brea-" Katie drops silent not moving. The last thing Katie hears is her cell phone, it's her parents. She looks at the picture before she drops totally unconscious.

A single tear rolls down Katie's face.
