Saturday morning Xander walked past me to head into the gym. Madison was MIA today I could not have been more happy. When I got inside Green Day "Wake Me Up When September Ends" was blasting Xander had his phone hooked up. "What do you want to start with?" Xander asked. I knew it was not what he meant.

"I want to start by saying I am sorry. I don't like Madison, but I did like hanging out with you. I can't take another awkward practice if this does not end I guess we can jog." I said looking right at Xander.

Xander sighed. "You don't have to like her just don't hate me because I do."

I laughed and walked by Xander patting his arm. "I don't think someone can hate you."

We swung around in the ring for a bit. I could not think about anything other than Xander. He's a six one tall lean muscle boxing machine. I could get lost in his brown eyes and not notice when he would call for my focus. I stared at the feather on his right side of his collarbone. Lost on the wrong train of thought for someone who is not mine to ogle I threw a puch and it headed towards what I was looking at. Xander caught my hand before I could land the misguided punch to the right side of his collarbone.

"What happened to being okay with one another." He laughed.

"Sorry." I told him shaking my arm out of his grip.

"Nick you have to remember you have a fight with Mascati next week." My dad stated as he came over. "You don't have time to stand and chat."

"I won't forget." I told him. In all honesty I hoped I would not forget again. Manny Mascati I liked to call her. She had a deeper voice than most girls and was the largest strongest person in my weight class they could put me against. That was why my dad had done the hunt for a larger training partner. But with Xander I could not focus on the fight. All that crossed my brain as I looked at him sliding out of the ring was my dream. "I am not feeling the ring today. Can I go for a jog?" I asked my dad.

"Fine but you will be inside tomorrow." Xander walked over to another guy and they started to go at it in a different ring. I went and got my phone and headphones. I put on my sneakers and walked out the door. On the wall opposite to the gym I looked over and was having strange deja vu. I saw a woman walking a boxer. A man and what looked to be his daughter. Then a couple against the wall making out.

Public displays of affection make me sick. I looked away till I saw a small head pop out of the girls bag. Mimi looked around and shook her head I walked closer to see Mimi sneezed on the boy he pulled back about a step away from girl and just out of arms reach to me. It was Madison. I watched as the boy raised a hand to slap Mimi. All my worry of Madison catching me looking went out the window. I grabbed the boys arm bending it in the wrong direction. "Touch the dog and you won't be able to use this hand to pick your nose." The face that looked up at me was the same boy who gave me Xander's book. I tightened my hold on his arm.

"Let go you bitch." He growled.

"Your not helping your case with language like that." I said and then looked up at Madison. "I knew I did not like you but literally cheating on Xander with his competition." I said through gritted teeth.

"I came first not that twit." Said the boy holding his shoulder.

"Your in no position to be calling people names." I said people were staring as they walked by.

"Just let him go you freak." Madison squeaked.

"I heard break it because he's no good." I said. "That is what you said right?" I asked.

"Look if anything you need to let go and move on you only care because your jealous." Madison said. "Xander was just a side product you can have him just let go."

"A: this is not a bout weather or not I want Xander and I don't. B:this is the negotiation of you gently telling Xander that you are braking up with him. I don't care what you have to do. Gently let him down. " I said letting go of the guys arm. "You have untill my next match, one week." I said walking off as the boy rubbed his arm.

I jogged for a hours till it was dark. My body was exhausted but all my mind could think about was that I had just told Xander I would try to be okay with Madison. That was also before I found out she was a sleazy fighters just as sleazy girlfriend. How was I supposed to focus on my fight now that I knew about this. I ran past the gym one last time going around the block forcing my self to clam down.

When I got back to the gym's doors. I held it open for Xander and to my disappointment a smirking Madison. Her expression said it all that she had another week before I could kill her.

On the drive home I almost ran a red light. I pulled over into a parking lot and pulled the keys out of the ignition of my jeep. I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and beat up the steering wheel. I pulled off my shirt sitting in my sports bra, work out shorts and sneakers. I laid back my chair and closed my eyes.

A knock on my door woke me up and I realized I was in my car when the belt buckle dug into my side. I looked out the window to see Xander. He had his hair up and covered by a hood. He had on a white Nirvana shirt on under his Levi hoodie jacket. I opened the door and sat up. A cold night gust jumped in the door and slapped against my still bare stomach. I reached over to the passenger seat for my shirt. It fell on the floor so I climbed up in the seat to get it. I got out and put it on and got out to my jacket from my bag in the back.
