A Miraculous Duo (Book 1)

Meet Marinette

It was the next morning and Marinette waited outside for chat noir. The notorious super hero in Paris that fights along side with her. Earlier she placed the flowers in a vase inside her bedroom to make sure they stayed alive just like she promised him.  She sat outside on the sidewalks next to her family owned business. She brought a small bag full of treats for them, Even though he didn't know she was his love.

The black cat's tail wagged merrily when the two were on their feet and were staring right at each other. He was hoping for a goodbye kiss on the lips but instead he settled for one on the cheek. Before he could make a move she was long gone into the night. Chat chuckled lightly and held his staff behind his neck. "Good night, my lady." He said before he turned and ran off into a different direction.

The next day Adrien woke up with his mind already wide awake and already thinking about the romantic night he shared with his love. The blonde blushed a bit but soon he remembered he had to go and see Marinette. He quickly grabbed Plagg and transformed before he ran off and towards Marinette's family bakery. Once he saw the girl he quickly called her name. "Marinette! Princess!" He called as he ran up to her.

Marinette looked up to see him running over to her. "Hey!.." She smiled and stood up. Today was the day she wanted to tell him who she really was. She was going to tell him sooner or later that she was ladybug but she wanted the timing to be perfect.

Chat Noir returned her smile with one of his own as he finally was standing face-to-face with her. He caught his breath quick and waved his hand at her. "Hello, princess." The cat greeted once more as he put his hands on his hips. "So I here you know some akuma business? Mind sharing the information with your Romeo?" Chat questioned as he leaned in and winked at her.

Marinette looked at him, blinking a few times. "Yeah, follow me." She started walking down the street and smiled as she walked. They heard a few screams coming from the school. Marinette stopped In her tracks. "There.." She looked at him. "Ladybug told me to help you.."

Chat obediently followed behind the blue haired girl quietly as he stretched his arms a bit to pop any kinks he got when he was asleep. As they walked he suddenly heard a scream come from a school building. The school he attended to. Chat quickly pulled out his staff, ready to fight and then he heard Marinette spoke. "Oh.. She did?" He asked. Why on Earth would Ladybug ask a civilian to help fight akumas?! "You know what- don't worry about it.. I'll go handle this myself princess! Uh- see ya!" He said before he quickly scurried off towards the school's direction.

Marinette sighed and watched him go before following behind him. "I'm not leaving you.." She slightly smiled and stood next to him ready to transform. Tikki spoke "Marinette, you can't do this! Not infro-" she was cut off my Marinette shutting her pink bag and whispered "don't worry.. I'll do it when the time is right.."

The feline's ear twitched as he heard a feminine, familiar voice spoke from behind him. Marinette. He looked over at her and pouted his lips a bit, irritated a bit that she didn't listen to him when he told her to stay. He turned to her and grabbed both her hands in his. "I'm glad you want to help.. But I have to protect you, princess. Please go back." He said but doubted she would listen.

Marinette sighed and started to walk back. "I don't get why he doesn't want me to help him.." She looked down at tikki who looked back up at her "maybe you should transform and help him out..?" Marinette looked at her "I told him ladybug was busy.. But maybe I should.." She looked back at chat and sighed "can I please help you?"

The blonde looked over to see the same girl begging him to help, he only let out a small sigh in response to her question. "Fine, fine." Chat finally said as he grabbed her hand. "Don't slow me down, princess." He said as he winked at her before he took off to the school to see what was going on. And where that scream came from.

Marinette slowly nodded and walks over to the blonde girl. "Chloé?... Are you okay?" She softly spoke to the girl. Chloé looked at her with pure hate and disgust. "Chloé how about we calm down.. Okay?" Chloé just looked at her. She then grabbed Marinette's hand. Marinette tried to get away. "Chloé!" She yelped as the grip was getting tighter. "I'm not letting go until ladybug and your cat friend give me their miraculous'!"

Once he received a nod from the blue haired girl he felt like his heart dropped into his stomach. Beneath his mask he was a classmate of hers and he knew well that they didn't get along well. Why did she nod anyways? Chat watched her slowly approach the akumanized blonde as he pulled out his metal staff, ready to fight. As soon as he heard a yelp from his princess he sprinted up to the two and kicked Chloé to the other side of the courtyard, holding on to Marinette so she wouldn't get dragged with her. "Paws off my princess." He said as he looked back at Marinette and at her wrist. "Are you alright?" He asked.

Marinette looked at her wrist and then back at him "I'll be fine.." She looked at chloé, she was getting up again. "I-I'll be right back.. I'm going to go wrap this up.." Without letting him speak another word she ran away to transform. She came back as ladybug. "I'm here.. Sorry.." She rubbed her wrist hoping chat wouldn't notice. "Let's get this over with." She whispered.

Chat's attention turned right to Choé as soon as Marinette confirmed that she would be alright. He slammed his staff on the ground, he had even more motivation to finish her off. Before he knew it Marinette left his side and then Ladybug appeared. "My lady." Chat said as a greeting and grinned. His eyes traveled downwards and noticed her rub her wrist a little but he thought nothing of it. "Right, right~ so how do you want to do this? I tie her down or you use one your lucky charms?" He asked with a sly smile. "By the way, she hurt Marinette. I'm sorry I couldn't protect her."

"Let's not worry about Marinette right now, we can talk about her later." She looked at chloé a bit in rage. She took out her ladybug yo-yo "lucky charm!" She yelled and threw her yo-yo into the air. She looked at what appeared. A pair of shoes. "What the heck am I suppose to do with these? I'm not a model.." She looked at the shoes and then got an idea. "Maybe that's what I'm suppose to do.." She smirked. "Chat I need you to get Chloe's attention on me. She won't like the fact that I have Her shoes and she'll come for me. When she does I need you to take her bracelet. I bet that's where the akuma is." she explained. "And after this I want to talk to you."
