Chat was ready to run miles and miles to find his beloved, but it seemed he couldn't. He smiled weakly at Tikki, as if to tell her it was okay. "It's alright. You lead us all this way.. I'm sure she's somewhere nearby." Chat said and looked around. "Just need to hurry up and find her before anything happens." He mumbled, planning to run around Paris for her if he had to.
Tikki sat on his shoulder and sighed "I think we're too late.." She looked down a bit upset.
Marinette watched in silence as Hawkmoth picked up chat and the Akuma's took him away. She started to cry one more with a few tears clouding up her vision.
"What do you mean..?" Chat said in a soft voice, getting more worried by the second. What did that mean? Too late? "I-.. It's never too late!" He told her and tried to raise her hopes, and his as wells.
Hawkmoth watched as his akuma overpowered the girl once again. He planned to release her into the world as soon as she was 100% controlled by the akuma. He could use her better then.
Tikki looked at him. "I think we should head back home.." She sounded a bit worried. "It's getting dark and someone needs to tell Marinette's parents where she-" she paused. "Can I see your stick..? We can call her back.." Tikki slightly smiled.
Marinette looked at him "please let me go.." She tried to get out of the ropes.
".. But we just came out here." Chat mumbled, not wanting to go back to his lonesome home and leave Marinette alone wherever she was. The black cat handed the kwami his staff after he shrugged. "Dunno if it's the smartest to call a captive though."
"Not until the akuma has taken over. I'll force more into you if I must." Hawkmoth replied.
Marinette looked at him "w-why are you doing this to me.." She whispered. She wanted to go home, she wanted to be with her family and friends again. She wasn't well enough for this.
Tikki pushed the button to call Marinette with her tiny little hand and it started dialing. "Here, you call her." She handed him back the staff and smiled.
Hawkmoth stayed silent not feeling the need to explain himself to the likes of her. She was a miraculous holder who captured the heart of another holder. His job was going to be easy. Like killing two birds with one stone. "The akuma will give you your energy back if you just let it. Stop fighting it." He muttered bitterly and turned his attention back to the wide mirror of Paris in front of him.
"I don't know Tikki.." Chat looked down at the staff he was handed. Was it really alright to just call her so easily? The black cat dialed her number anyways, he just wanted to hear her voice.
Marinette heard her phone ring. She had her hands behind her, she tried to grab her bag to answer her phone. She looked at Hawkmoth who was on the other side of the room. She grabbed her phone and answered it. She quickly yelled. "Chat! He's putting Akuma's inside of me! He's going to make me hurt you!~" she didn't get the chance to finish before Hawkmoth grabbed the phone from her little hands.
Hawkmoth heard the girl's phone go off and he immediately knew who it was. A swarm of akumas landed all over the man and he soon was disguised as Marinette. He dropped her phone for a moment before he picked it back up.
"Marinette..?! Wait– slow down..!" Chat said and tried to process what she just said. Make her evil and go against him? What the hell? Before he could reply he heard the phone suddenly drop.
Hawkmoth sent a few butterflies over to the girl to silence her before he looked down at the phone. "Please.. Come quick.." He said, his voice identical to Marinette's.
"Gotcha!" He replied instinctively. "I'll come right away! Tikki lets go!"
Marinette tried to speak. She tried to tell him it was a trap.
Tikki nodded and followed chat noir around and looked at him "we better hurry!"
Hawkmoth hung up as soon as he informed the feline to pick up his pace. He took the phone and placed it in another room before he came back. "Akuma, go." He ordered another one of his evil butterflies to Marinette.
Chat tracked down where her phone was and started to run in that direction. He tried to get there quick for Marinette's sake.
Marinette shook her head. "Please no.." She whispered, barley audible. She tried to get out of the chair she was tied too.
Tikki flew behind him. "Do you know where she is?" She flew up next to him.
"Just give up." Hawkmoth told her and grinned devilishly. "The more you fight the more it hurts." He said as the akuma flew closer to her and crawled up her hand.
"I think so.." Chat said and showed Tikki the photo on his staff with a red dot marked on a map. "It says her phone is over there." He mumbled and pointed in the direction the map told him to go.
Tikki nodded and looked ahead. "It looks like that building right there. The one with the big window.." Tikki looked at chat "are you ready for this?.."
Marinette shook her head once more. "Please stop.. I-I promise I won't do anything.." She looked at the butterfly on her hand.
Chat looked over at the kwami and flashed her a confident smile, to assure her that he was ready to go. "Of course, I am THE Chat Noir after all.~" He said and jumped upon roof and roof, getting closer to the building.
The akuma began to crawl up her arm as she begged in a hushed tone. "Do you really want your last words to be a sappy lie?" Hawkmoth questioned. As soon as the akuma was inside of her he was sure Marinette would be no more than just a hollow minion of his.
Marinette's eyes changed from a bright blue to a dark purple. She no longer had control of her body. She looked up at Hawkmoth.
Tikki smiled and followed. "I hope Marinette is okay" she continued to follow the feline superhero to the building.
Hawkmoth stared at the girl as her eyes suddenly turned into a dark shade of purple. It worked. The man grinned and nodded to his butterflies to release her. Before they flew away they wrapped around her and dressed her into her Ladybug outfit, except the outfit was black and the dots were red. "You now work for me." Hawkmoth said to her in a demanding tone.
As soon as they were at the building Chat glanced down at his staff and back at the building. "This is it." He said and hesitated a bit to go inside.
Marinette who was now dressed as ladybug looked at him and nodded.
Tikki looked at him "please save Marinette.." She sighed. "I want her back.."
Hawkmoth looked outside the window and noticed Chat Noir there outside with her kwami by his side. "So easy.." He grinned.
Chat noticed a figure at the window but decided he was just imaging things. He had to get Marinette. "I'll get her I promise. Hide for now." He told Tikki and walked into the building cautiously.
Tikki hid outside behind a pillar. Marinette stood by Hawkmoth. "What do I have to do..?" She looked at him with a small smirk on her face.
"Go meet him. He spent all this time looking for you after all. Grab his miraculous while you're at it." Hawkmoth said and looked outside once more to see both Tikki and Chat gone. "I'll take care of the other one." He said and disappeared out of the room.
Chat looked around at the shady building and crinkled his nose to the fumes of the building surrounded him. "Gross.. Ugh.. Marinette..?" He began to call out her name repeatedly, hoping to hear a response.
