A Miraculous Duo (Book 1)

Ladybug, Chat Noir & Hawkmoth

Marinette sat on the balcony and looked at the plants surrounding her. She looked back and saw adrien was gone and looked at Alya and Nino. Marinette sighed and put her head in her lap.

Chat didn't wait a second to get to the Cheng's family bakery, he wanted to see Marinette soon as possible. He jumped upon roof and roof looking for the bakery. It took him a few minutes to find the bakery but he did, he was standing upon a roof that was the closest to Marinette's balcony, which wasn't that close. They were about still a few feet apart but she was still in view. Chat looked down at the people below him and made sure no one saw him as he hopped on to her balcony.

Marinette heard someone on the balcony and looked up to see chat noir. She looked behind her to see Alya and Nino talking on the couch. She looked back at Chat. "Someone is going to see you.." She replied. She coughed and sighed. Marinette stood up and walked over to him.

Chat pouted a bit at her greeting towards him which was just her warning him about being seen. "I'm sure your friends won't mind. Plus who cares.. I just want to hold you right meow (now), okay?" Chat smiled and walked up to her and hugged her. He stayed like that for a quick moment before he let go and noticed Alya and Nino staring at him. "Heyo.~" Chat greeted and walked into her room to talk to Alya and Nino.

Marinette slightly smiled and walked in after him. She really needed that. Oh who is she kidding?! She needed to be weld by him even longer! She sighed and sat down on her bed. Marinette looked up at them.

"Chat Noir?! What are you doing here? Ah–! Can I take a photo with you!" Nino asked and fumbled out his phone excitedly. "Ladybug told me to watch over this princess while she's on a top secret mission, that's why." Chat fibbed but it sounded real enough to convince Nino. "Is Marinette in danger?" Alya asked. "That's top secret." Chat replied. "But don't be alarmed, you all will be out of danger's way so long as I'm here.~" Chat said and flexed his muscles as if to assure them.

Marinette rolled her eyes and hopped that they didn't see the hug that went down outside. It would be weird if the reporters found out about chat noir was in love with Marinette.. "I think I'm gonna go.." Marinette stood up from her bed.

"No way, dudette. You're sick remember? Can't really go anywhere when you're sick." Nino said and crossed his arms sternly. "I'll take care of her." Chat said to ease the tanned boy as he smiled slightly. "She can go where she wants just as long as it's not.. Far." Chat said and shrugged a little. "You're supposed to watch her!" Alya said and frowned. "That's true.." Chat mumbled and tried to distract the two for Marinette to walk off. He thought she was just going downstairs to grab a meal, not far.

Marinette looked at them all arguing and quietly walked downstairs and out of the building. "Some fresh air.. That always works.. Right?.." She sighed and walked into the park. She sat down on a bench and looked around at everyone having fun. "I'm really scared to transform into ladybug.." She whispered to Tikki. Tikki looked at her "then don't.. I mean eventually we'll need to you but you need rest.."

To settle the argument Chat agreed to getting interviewed by Alya and Nino and for her to post it on her Ladybug blog. And that they'd both get to take a photo with him and can say they're friends. "Alright! So.. I'll go get a chair from the bakery so you don't have to sit on Marinette's girly furniture." Nino said and hurried downstairs while Alya kept an eye on Chat. "You know she didn't just go downstairs right?" Alya sighed and scrolled through her phone.

"She probably went further than I hoped.." He mumbled. Nino soon returned with a chair and informed them that he didn't see Marinette down there. Chat really wanted to go look for her but he had promised them photos and so on.

Marinette stood up and walked around Paris. She walked all of her favorite landmarks and she stopped at the Eiffel Tower which she saw people running and screaming. "What's going on..?" She looked around them looked at Tikki. "I need to call chat!" Marinette said. "there's no time for that we have to transform" Tikki exclaimed. "I can't!" She looked around and yelled "everyone evacuate! Go back home!" She coughed and looked at the person who was terrorizing everyone. "H-hawk moth???!" Marinette backed away and started running home.

Luckily the interview went by quick with just simple, basic answers from the feline superhero. The photos took a bit longer than expected since Alya needed to take a lot. Before Chat knew it he heard distant screaming and panick. He ran upstairs and on to her balcony to get a better view of the outside. He noticed people running in a certain direction, away from something. "I'll be right back!" Chat yelled to the two teenagers before he ran off to see what was going on.

Marinette ran as far as she could. She looked up to see chat running across the buildings. "I can't let him do it alone.." She sighed "Tikki, spots on!" She yelled as she transformed into ladybug.

Chat stopped at one roof that was near the Eiffel Tower once he saw the source of the commotion. He pulled out his metal staff and clenched it tight as he hissed under his breath. After everything Hawkmoth had done to Marinette.. Just looking at him enraged the cat. "Hawkmoth!" Chat yelled as he ran closer to him, hopping on roof to roof.

Ladybug ran back toward the Eiffel Tower. She saw Chat and finally caught up to him. "I'm not letting you do this alone." She stated and coughed a bit. She looked at Hawkmoth.

"You're sick, go back home. I'll be fine." Chat said once he heard his partner's voice arise from the loud noises of commotion. Hawkmoth's attention soon turned to the two after he watched the citizens of Paris flee fearful for their lives. "Ladybug and Chat Noir. It's about time we've settled this." He said as he smiled wickedly.

Ladybug ignored him and took out her yo-yo. "I think it is.." Ladybug looked at chat. "I'll be fine. I'm not letting you do this alone."

"Fine." Chat sighed and looked at the ground before looking up at Ladybug and smiling. "Any plans? If not I'm just gonna run up to him and beat his ass." The black cat said with a mischievous grin.

Ladybug shrugged "go for it." She smiled and looked back at hawk moth, hoping her dream was just a dream and won't become a reality. "Lucky charm!" She yelled. She then ran up to him with what her lucky charm gave her.

"Whatever you say.~" Chat said pleased by her response. The feline superhero suddenly began to ran up to Hawkmoth with his staff up in his hands ready to swing. "You absorbed one of my akumas?.." Hawkmoth asked as he dodged the attack. He looked back at Ladybug and noticed her strange behavior. She seemed weaker than he anticipated she would be.

"So you're sick because of my akuma.. And you have an akuma in you. This is rich." Hawkmoth chuckled as he called upon a white butterfly and transformed it into an akuma. "Go my akuma!" The akuma fluttered off to find a heartbroken taxi driver and landed on his wife's photo.
