I woke up and saw Peter was gone. I got up out of bed and went to the window. I pulled the curtain back and saw it wasn't even light outside.
Odd. I thought as I crawled back into bed. I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep but couldn't. I tossed and turned but nothing was helping. I felt a strange presence, like something was in the room. I got out of bed and checked the door. It was still locked. So were all the windows.
That's strange. I went back over to the bed and laid down on top of the covers with my arms behind my head.
"Hey baby, I missed you." A voice said from the dark bathroom doorway. Someone walked over and stood at the foot of the bed. I sat up and looked at the person that stood in front of me.
"How did you get in here?" I asked, not believing my eyes.
"It wasn't that hard, you see Pan didn't lock the bathroom window." He put his hands on the posts of the bed and stared at me. Then he crawled on the bed towards me on his hands and knees. I scooted back and tried to get off the bed but he was too quick. He grabbed my legs when I tried to kick him away. "Now, where were we?" He asked as I struggled to get free.
"Let me go!" I yelled at the boy. "PETER!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
"Come on now, that's not going to work this time." He said and straddled my knees. "Now, calm down." He said. He reached out with both hands and pushed me down so I was laying on the bed. I tried to punch him but he grabbed my wrists and pinned them down to the bed.
He laid down on top of me so I couldn't move. He took his hands away from my wrists and they were tied down to the bed. He lifted my shirt up to my belly button and started tracing circles on my stomach.
"There's no one to interrupt us this time." He said and slowly brought his deadly lips down to my stomach.
"stop. Stop. SEBASTIAN STOP!" I yelled.
"Sweetheart it's okay." A calm voice said.
I felt someone move to straddle my hips and I opened my eyes. It was Peter. He was holding my wrists down. His face was red, right below his left eye and it was starting to turn purple. I immediately stopped resisting his grasp and his grip on my wrists loosened. I looked around the room for any signs of intruders and when my eyes rested on Peter's face I gasped.
"Oh my god Peter your face! Was that me?" I asked, sitting up. He moved off me and sat on his knees in front of me and I did the same.
"Yeah but it's okay." He said, lightly touching the now-forming bruise.
"I'm so sorry."
"It's quite alright love." He waved his hand in front of his face and the bruise disappeared, like nothing happened.
I jumped over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck and he fell back onto the bed. "Shhh shhh Meg, calm down. It was only a dream."
"It was awful Peter."
"I know, I know. It's okay." Peter said and sat up. He pulled me into his lap and I wrapped my legs around his torso, not planning on letting go any time soon. I know I'm safe with him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into him.
"It's okay, it's okay." He said, stroking my hair as I buried my head into his neck. After a couple of minutes he moved over to the edge of the bed and sat up, bringing me with him and laid me down gently on the bed. He walked to the other side and started pulling the covers back but I stopped him before he could lay down again.
"Peter, can you make sure all the doors and windows are locked?" I asked looking up at him.
"Of course." He said and walked over to the door. "It's locked, see." He tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. He did the same with the two other windows in the bedroom, both locked.
"And the bathroom window?" He sighed but walked into the bathroom. I heard the lock click shut and Peter came out a couple seconds later.
"All locked." He said and crawled in bed next to me.
I turned to face him and put my hands on his chest. I pressed my forehead to his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. "Now, go back to sleep."
"Peter?" I whispered.
"Hmm?"
"Please don't leave me." I said and looked up at him. He looked down at me in thought before answering.
"I promise I will be here when you wake up, and I promise I will never ever leave you."
I nodded and put my forehead back on his chest and went back to sleep.
When I woke up I felt the familiar warm arms wrapped around me. I opened one eye and saw Peter, on his side, facing me, still asleep. I closed my eye and buried my face even closer to him and pulled myself closer. One of his legs moved on top of mine and I felt him stir awake.
"Mhm morning Megan." Peter said in a morning voice that made my heart flutter.
"Good morning Peter."
"Come on, time to get up." Peter said moving his leg off mine and starting to sit up.
"But Peterrrrrr" I whined and moved so I was lying on his stomach.
"As much as I want to lay in bed with you, I need to get up, remember-"
"Yeah yeah, you have a camp to run." I said, cutting him off and letting him sit up.
"Hey, I'll see you later." He said and leaned down and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Am I allowed to leave the tree house this time?"
"Yes, but I want you to stay close to Felix. Alright?"
"Okay." I said and he was gone.
I got dressed and climbed the ladder down to the ground.
"Megan, Peter said I need to stay with you until he gets back." Felix said, walking over to me.
"Okay, fine." I sat down on a log and grabbed some food. Felix sat down on the log next to me and looked down at his hands.
"What is Peter doing?" I said between mouthfuls.
"Probably visiting our guests."
"Who's here?" I asked him.
"If Pan hasn't told you yet it means he's not ready to tell you." He said and dismissed the subject.
I got up and put my wooden plate on the log I was sitting on and started to walk around the camp. Felix looked over and noticed I walked away so he jumped up. In an instant he was right behind me.
"Back up Felix your practically breathing down my neck." I said. There were only three lost boys, including Felix, that were in the camp. The rest probably went to hunt or train, considering that's pretty much all the do around here.
I soon got bored walking around the camp and noticed there wasn't really anything to do. "You know what, I'm just going to go back to the tree house, I'll see ya later." I walked quickly away from him and climbed up the ladder.
When I got to the top I locked the door and walked back to the bedroom. I laid down on the bed and closed my eyes, waiting for Peter to come back.
