I was I a deep ocean. My mane of red hair formed a halo around my head, my clothes were soaked, clinging to my pale skin. Bubbles formed around my mouth and nose as a exhaled. I inhaled.

I inhaled.

I could breath underwater. That's impossible. How is that possible. I have no answers.

I spread my arms in front of me and started gliding through the cool current of the ocean, looking for signs of life.

Nothing. I swam for what felt miles, but just plain ocean with a sandy floor.

And that is when reality sank in. I was in a simulation, this was used for reproducing. Probably not but it was a genetic test nonetheless. I've been through enough of those to know what they felt like, what they looked like. They messed with your brain, made impossible twists and just before you're about to die, the truth sinks in.

I paddled my feet frantically, swinging my arms in circles trying to break the surface of clear water. But I couldn't. I just stayed in place, no matter how much I thrashed. If anything, I'd say I was being pulled downwards, towards the bottom. Except there wasn't any bottom. It was a black hole, going down hundreds of thousands of miles, stopping nowhere; perfectly shaped. My legs were sucked in and shortly I was hanging on by my fingertips, my nails digging into the grainy sand, holding on for dear life.

But I wasn't strong enough and I fell. Down. Down. Down.

Nothing but black, my clothes yearning for the light, and the warmth, straining upwards from the fall. But gravity pulled me downwards nonetheless.

I landed finally onto a cold surface of stone. As soon as I was there torches all around the walls lit up, lighting a hallway.

My body felt sore, my hair was a birds nest and my clothes were a crumpled piece of cotton.

With a lot of effort I shifted my body into a sitting position. Looking around the hall. I was in a domed shaped room and that led into two different hallways, each lighted brightly.

I stood up with a lot of effort and groaning. I needed to choose a hall way.

I veered to the left, but then decided against it. I pushed my luck and started down the right hallway. Of course I could always go back.

I heard a loud nagging and looked behind my back. Great, the walkway was closed. Splendid, yeah.

I soon reached the end if the hall and walked through the creaky oak door. Inside it was a room with two chairs and a desk. At the desk sat a man in a black suit.

He said in a familiar voice. "Hello, Lizzie."

The man stood up and turned around to face me.

The man was none other than Cole.
