Chapter 13

NIALL'S POV

I was so nervous to tell Taylor. I had seen how protective he was over Renee whenever Matt just had a crush on her. I could only imagine what'd he do to me if I told him I loved her.

I was currently sitting on a couch in Taylor's hotel room trying to decide how to answer the question sitting in front of me.

"Niall, why would I be mad?" Taylor had just asked me. I had to tell him so I might as well just rip off the band aid.

"Because I-I'm in love with Renee." I finally breathed out. My voice was like a whisper and I was hoping Taylor hadn't heard me.

I looked up at him and he looked shocked. "So that's why I'd be mad."

I was ready for the screaming to start anytime, but it didn't. It was just silent until Taylor could start talking again. "Look Niall, I think you're a good guy, but I am just now getting over the fact that she's dating Matt. I just started letting them hang out in her room, and anyways you'd have to wait until she was 18, she lives in America, and you will have another tour between then and now. So much could happen between that."

"This is different, Taylor. I've known Niall for awhile and he's waited years and years for this perfect girl to come into his life. He truly believes it's Renee and if he's waited long enough to find her, he'll wait a few more years to date her." said Harry. I was really glad he was there because I don't know if I could do this without him.

"Look I really don't know what to say, but I do know that Matt is the first guy -besides Cam and I- that tore down the walls that she put up. She's very closed off and has finally let someone be there for her when she needs it. I'm not about to stop that." Taylor replied.

I had figured that Ren wasn't the type of person to just tell others about her problems, but I didn't think she'd be reluctant to letting people comfort her. I was about to ask what he was referring to whenever Cameron came in.

"Wassup!" He screamed, not knowing we were sitting there on the couch. "Gosh if I had a dollar for every time I had to break them apart because they were being too touchy, I would be a millionaire."

Taylor cleared his throat and Cam looked up and saw us sitting on the couch. "Oh hey, Niall, Harry. What are you two doing here?" He asked as he came and sat down next to Taylor.

I knew I had to tell him too. I just didn't know how. "Oh well I was just-" I started, but Taylor cut me off.

"He came here and told me he's in love with Renee and just wanted us to know." I watched as Cam's face changed from a smile to a frown in just seconds. I wasn't all that worried about Cameron because he didn't seem as crazy as Taylor, but boy was I wrong.

He was up on his feet in seconds. "YOU WHAT?" He screamed, pacing behind the couch. I guess Taylor was just as shocked as I was because his face had surprise written all over it. "SHE'S 16! YOU CAN'T BE IN LOVE WITH HER! SHE'S LIKE FIVE YEARS YOUNGER THAN YOU. THAT WOULD BE LIKE ME LIKING HER." I flinched as his voice got even louder than last time.

"Cam calm down... he wasn't planning on dating her now..." Taylor attempted to try to calm down the ticking time bomb.

"NO! JUST BECAUSE I WAS OKAY WTH MIA AND SHAWN DATING, AND JUST BECAUSE I WAS OKAY WITH MATT AND RENEE DATING, DOES NOT  MEAN THAT I SHOULD BE OKAY WTH THIS." He screamed. I was just sitting silently and was praying for this storm  to blow over any second, but it just kept going.

Next thing I knew he had kicked the door and knocked the lamp sitting on a nearby table, to the floor. His eyes were dark and he was making his way toward me.
