Chapter 5

Stormys POV 1 month later...

It's been a month since Mercy moved in with us, and I've learned that she likes dub step and BVB and BOTDF. But not hardcore kind of music like me and Dad who like Slipknot, nine inch nails, and rob zombie. And that even though she's lived with us for a while, she's still pretty shy around us.

Right now everyone was in the living watching Cabin in the woods. I was cuddled up next Dad, and Mercy was cuddled up with Uncle David, and everyone else was everywhere else. We were halfway through the movie and then we heard a loud banging on the front door, scaring the shit out of all of us. Now it's 11 at night were watching a scary movie and there's a loud banging at our door, you'd be scared too.

Dad gots up and walked to the door, I got up as well and followed him. Once he opened the door we saw a middle aged man and a younger woman about 20 standing there. "Uh can I help you?" Dad asked them. "Yes, have you seen my daughter? Mercy?" The man asked with a smirk. Dad looked down at me as I shook my head slightly at him. He looked back up at them and shook his head. "No, the only kid here is my daughter." My dad said putting a hand a behind my back. "Now, I know your lying, I tracked her phone, I know she's here, now where is she." The guy demanded. Dad moved me so I was behind him. "I told you, your daughter is not here." Dad said sternly. The guy shoved my dad making me stumble a little. "Stormy go back into the living room with Dahvie." Dad told me.

I nodded my head and ran back into the living room and sat next to Mercy and Uncle David. "Who's at the door Storm?" Mercy asked me. "Your dad and some chick." I said. As soon as I said that Mercy froze. I rubbed her arm for comfort. "It's going to be fine Merc." I reassured her. She nodded her head, clearly not believing me. "Leave now!" I heard my dad yell making Adrain jump up and run to the front door to help dad. "Stay here sweeties." Uncle David said getting up and walking to the front door as well. Me and Mercy held eachothers hands tight as we heard even more yelling.

Then we saw Uncle David motioning us to quietly go upstairs. We nodded and started walking up stairs when we were both pulled back because we were still holding hands. Mercys dad was pulling her hair and starting dragging her out of the house. I let go of Mercys hand and started hitting her 'dad'. He got tired of me hitting him so he shoved me away causing me to go straight into a wall. I groaned and slid down the wall. "Stormy!" Dad yelled coming towards me. "Just help Mercy." I told him. He nodded and went back to helping Mercy.

I tried getting up but my back hurt to much. I whimpered and bit lip. I just stayed down, and watched them fight. Finally I got over it and screamed as loud and high pitched as I could. Everyone stopped what they were doing and covered their ears. Mercy came over to me as fast she could and kneeled down by me holding her head from her hair be pulled so much.

Dad shoved Mercys dad out the door and locked it quick. Everyone took a breath and relaxed. "Are you okay girls?" Dad asked us. Mercy nodded her head, but I shook mine. My back hurt so much, I was in so much pain. Dad looked over at me worried, he walked over to me and kneeled down to me, "What happened baby?" He asked softly. "He shoved me to the wall and now my back really hurts." I told him. He nodded his head and kissed my forehead. "Dahv can you get some ice?" He asked Uncle David. He nodded and walked into the kitchen.

"Ok honey I'm gonna need to pick you up, so it may hurt a little." My dad warned me. I nodded my head and got ready for some pain. He carefully picked me up bridal style. I whimpered and bit my lip hard. "I'm sorry baby girl." He whispered to me as he set me down on the couch.

"Here's her ice." Uncle David said handing dad some ice. "Thanks." Dad muttered to him. I softly placed the bag of ice on my back, I hissed slightly, then started to get used to the pain. "Ok, I think we all need some sleep, Dahv help Mercy with her hair, it must hurt like a bitch, and ill stay here with Storm." Dad said. Uncle David nodded and picked Mercy up bridal store and walked upstairs. "Go to sleep baby." I heard my dad whisper to me and get on the couch with me and get behind and put an arm around me. I fell asleep instantly.
