Jason felt quite at home in the Blue Moon pack house. The rest of the members were either out and about or in their rooms. The place was much more pristine than the Sun Blaze pack, but he would never embarrass his alpha by saying so. What had gone on before struck him as odd. Jodelle had never acted to strange. He grunted as he got up from where he lay on his back in bed.

"Jodelle." He knocked on her door minutes after he had left his room to find hers. But there was no answer.

"Jace?" Her quivering voice came from behind him. He turned to see tears leaking from her eyes and staining her cheeks. He ran and hugged her tightly.

"Hey... Why're you crying?" He asked as he was worried for his best friend.

"Be-because she doesn't want me! Emma doesn't want me!" She sobbed into his shoulder.

"Who? That girl you were goggling at?" He frowned. "What do you mean?" He already knew she was a lesbian.

"She's my mate, Jason! And she doesn't want me!" Her voice cracked as she wailed. Jason rubbed her back and growled lowly. His best friend rejected?! This wouldn't fly. He knew the ache she felt. He was mateless because his mate, Charle, had rejected him. He shivered at the horrific memory.

"I'll make her sorry she ever hurt you, Jodelle." His wolf snarled and flexed its claws.

"Jason, don't-"

"Too late. I'm doing it." He let go of her and stormed down the hall towards the stairs. He seethed as he stomped down the stairs. No one. Silence. He was alone. Emma was gone. He let out a sigh trying to blow off steam, and trudged back up the stairs, feeling guilty for not making the wench pay for hurting his friend. Though as he dragged his feet back to the place he had last seen Jodelle, she was gone. He knew better than to knock on her door. She obviously need to be alone. Shaking his head, her went back to his room. It was getting late and so he opened the bag he had brought and changed into sweatpants and a t-shirt. He lay down in bed and pulled up the covers, wondering how his best friend was doing. It worried him. When his mate rejected him, he had gone into deep depression. Sometimes he felt as if he never came out of it.

"Jodelle..." He whispered. "I don't want that for you..."

He rolled over, and shut his eyes. Though sleep didn't come quickly.

In the morning, he awoke to a knock on the door. He slowly got up and somewhat fixed his scraggly bed head before opening the door. It was Alpha Mason.

"Breakfast has been served. Get dressed." He ordered. Jason nodded and closed the door, opening his back and putting on a blue colored shirt and jeans. As he descended the stairs, Jodelle's door opened to reveal her messy hair in a messy bun, her short shorts, and a blue tank top with a red sequined rose.

"Hot isn't it?" He asked. She nodded and came down the stairs, her pink flip sandals clicked against the tile stairs. As she got closer he could see that her eyes were bloodshot and she looked exhausted. Though the heavy makeup covered the dark circles below her eyes.

"Oh, Jodelle."

"Say nothing. Let's not talk about it."

Jason nodded solemnly and they walked through the various rooms until they found the dining room.

"Morning, Jason, Jodelle." Alpha Dean smiled. Jason smiled back, and turned to Jodelle. Her eyes were sadly locked on the empty seat be Emma. Emma glanced at her and narrowed her eyes. Jodelle wasn't welcome in that seat though she wouldn't be ignored. She held her brunette head high, and strutted towards that chair. Emma looked taken aback as Jodelle pulled out the seat and sat down with a sly grin. This was her form of revenge. Jason rolled his eyes and sat next to Beta Nichole.

"So, how's the food?" Blue Moons Aloha asked politely.

"So good!" Jodelle's sea green eyes were fixed on the pancakes she had taken a bite out of.

"Divine." Emma took a tiny spoonful of her oatmeal. She turned her head ever so slightly to look at Jodelle, and Jason noticed this. Maybe she would change her mind? Though he hoped Jodelle wouldn't forgive her. Rejecting a mate was unforgivable. He knew first hand how terrible it felt. Terrible was an understatement.
