*Michael's POV*

Brother woke us all and told us to dress and wait for him in the parlor room. He chose the clothes for us. I wore a black suit with black dress shoes. It was not my style.

Being the first to be woken up, I sat on one of the couches in the parlor room, waiting for the other people. Today we're greeting the Daring family along with Maria's family. I don't know why, but brother said that if we didn't listen to what he said, he would throw us into a pit of pig food and feed us to human eating pigs. If don't think those exist, but when it comes to brother, we have to be careful because he keeps his word. It gets really scary.

"Why do we have to wear these clothes?" I heard Maia whining from outside the door. I chuckled. She hated wearing formal clothes.

"Because we are going to be meeting an important family in the magic world," I heard Marisol respond. "We have to look presentable and respectful." The door opened and the two of them walked in.

Maia was wearing a light pink dress that went down to her knees. She wore frilly socks that went up to her ankles and light pink high heels. Her chestnut colored hair was put up into a wavy ponytail. She looked like a child.

Marisol, on the other hand, was wearing a sleeveless dress with a low cut v-line. Her dress also reach her knees. It was a darker shade of pink. Her blond hair was let down and she wore higher high heels than Maia's. She looked like a grown woman.

"Hello beautiful ladies," I said. I stood up and bowed. Maia ignored me and sat down on the other couch. She was still pouting. "You really hate dressing up, don't you?" She glared at me. I nodded my head as well and sat down.

"You youngsters should get used to dressing like this," Marisol scolded us. "You two are powerful users who will be very useful to our world."

"Being a powerful user is one thing, but its not like we dress up every time we have to go on a mission," Maia groaned. I agree with her. "What time is it?"

"7:45," I told her.

"It's too early for me to be up!!" Maia whined.

"Stop acting like a child," Marisol scolded her. "Aren't you supposed to be more mature than Michael?" How dare she use me as an example. I growled at her.

Maia sighed. Suddenly she perked up.

"Marisol, I've been meaning to ask you, why did you get engaged to Mr. Snake man?" Maia asked. That is also a question that I've been meaning to find out about.

"You have a lot of nicknames for him," Marisol stated, avoiding the topic. Maia was about ask again when Marisol interrupted her, "Now is not the time. It doesn't matter anyway, because it will be annulled soon." We sat there in the awkward silence.

Finally brother returned.

"What's with the awkward silence?" He asked as he scanned his eyes over us.

"It's nothing," Marisol smiled. It was fake.

"The Darings will be arriving soon," brother announced. "Follow me everyone." He walked off with us scrambling after him. I walked behind Marisol and in front of Maia. We continued walking, but I heard Maia's footsteps fade. When I looked behind me, she was not here.

"Brother, I must use the restroom. Please go on without me," I turned around and walked off to look for Maia. That girl is older than me but she has no sense of direction. She probably got lost.

"Maia!" I called out.

"Here!" I heard her reply. Her voice came from the room I stood in front of. I walked into the room. She was staring a big painting.

"Why did you disappear, Maia?" I asked her.

"Young master," was her reply.

What?

I took a good look at her. Her hair was black and had purple streaks in them.

"Miranda?" I asked, confused.

"Is that Emma?" She pointed to the painting. I took a look at the painting. There was a woman, who looked exactly like Emma, holding a little girl, who sort of looked like Maria. There were other figures in the background.

"I think so," I told her. "That little girl looks like Maria." Miranda nodded.

"Look closely at those two figures in the background," Miranda said. I did as she told me. There was a woman talking to a man. There were little kids playing in a creek and 3 men were watching them. 2 of them looked like twins. Their faces were not very clear, but there was something similar about the men.

"Something's weird," I muttered.

"Something's odd about those three men," Miranda stated. I nodded. I looked at the clock.

"We should come back later," I told her. "Brother will kill us. Can you have Maia come back?"

"Maia told me to be her for a day," Miranda said. "She said that she will not come out until everything is over." That scoundrel. Running away from little things like this. "And, there is a problem within our troops." She stared at me. I gulped.

"How can you be her for a day?" I asked. "Brother will be mad at her."

"She's taking care of a situation inside of her right now, so you're stuck with me until she's done anyways," Miranda smiled widely. I think she was trying to tick me off.

"Let's just go," I sighed. I pulled her out of the room and towards the direction that brother went. We walked and talked, until we heard chatter in one of the rooms. We walked into the scene of a rejoicing family reunion.

*Miranda's POV (before taking over Maia's body)*

"Goodness," I said to myself. I stared at the sleeping figures of the newcomer and Lucky. We are technically in Maia's mind right now.

The new spirit was a boy. Usually personalities are the same gender as their host's gender. Of course since this child isn't one of Maia's, he is different.

"What are we to do with you?" I stroked the little boy's head. The child has been sleeping since he arrived, that day of the battle.

"Should we just get rid of him?" I heard Lucky mutter.

"If we do that, Maia will gut us," I reminded her. The boy began to stir. "Look, he's waking!" The boy opened his eyes and rubbed them.

"Where am I?" He asked. He looked at himself and gasped. "Why am I a child again?
