Yay, for a new story. This was actually the first story I wrote. It's on Quizzaz but i finally decided that i would edit it and post it on here. Sorry for those of you hopping this was part of teh Rose Love Series. But sadly i have slight writers block on that and I don't want to upload it and then leave you guys hanging. SO to make it up I'm posting a lot of older stories that I already finished. After I edit parts of them of course. Well I hope you guys like this one :)

“I hate you guy, you are the worst family ever”I yelled, not really meaning it but not fully lying.
Once again my mom has gone and proved to not trust me. She never listens to what I have to say I specifically asked her not to come to this dance so I could just relax and have fun but no she had to do the opposite of was I asked.
“Go to your room, and don’t talk to me like that I am your mother and I deserve respect.” She yelled back trying to prove that she is the boss around here.
It would have been more convincing if she had said that before I turned my back and was heading up the stairs though.
"I already was bitch" I yelled back clearly not helping my case.
But I didn’t care I was beyond pissed at her. She did it just to make me angry I know she did but it’s still getting to me.
Once I got into my room I slammed my door, just for good measure. I hope my mom gets the message that I am pissed at her incase it hasn’t already gotten through her thick skull.
I flopped down on my bed and pulled my phone out from under my pillow. I decided to text Vince just like I did every time I got like this. Somehow just talking to him helped calm me down to a point in which I could act civil towards my mother.
I stared the conversation out simple not really knowing what to say just yet. I wasn’t really sure how to explain my feelings but a sad face seemed like I good place to start. So that’s what I sent him.
Within a minute Vince texted me back saying ‘what’s wrong Valentine?’’
I smiled slightly to myself. I loved it when he used my nickname it was almost like he knew how I felt about it. It made it seem like he felt the same.
Still not sure how to explain this is wrote back a simple ‘family’ knowing that he would understand.
Out of everyone I know he was the only one who truly understood what my family was like and how they made me feel.
‘What happened this time?’ He asked.
I knew my reason sounded slightly stupid.
‘My mom is going to be at the semi formal’ I responded.
I knew he would understand why I was upset. She had promised me she wouldn’t go to this one. She was way too strict with me, last time she went I couldn’t even dance with anyone. All I got to do was stand around and talk for awhile. It was a complete waste of a night.
‘If it makes you feel better you’re my best friend and I love you’ he texted back.
I sighed involuntarily that wasn’t what I wanted to hear. I didn’t want him to love me in the best friend way, I wanted him to love me as something more. But that would never happen. Best friends can’t love each other. It’s wrong it would ruin everything they stood for. I texted him back saying that I loved him too. Which wasn't really a lie, but it wasn't exactly what he thought it meant.
But I can’t help but wonder if Vince will break up with Holly. Would me telling him about the feelings I have ruin our friendship or make something new, something better. But if I did that I might as well be throwing our friendship out the window and having a Mac truck run over it. Nothing good could come of these feelings that just suddenly came on.
I mean why was I even thinking of him this way. I never have before so why now? I mean sure he was always attractive but it never affected me before. I didn’t really notice it until now to be honest. But something changed when he got with Holly. I mean I didn’t really notice it at first but now that I think about it that’s what changed everything.
Once he got with her I felt like I was losing him and I finally started to notice these things about him. I still am noticing new things about him. It’s probably just a phase I’m going through I mean it’s always just been Vince and I for as long as I can remember.
So all these feeling are because he’s adding someone new to his life and doesn’t have a lot of time for me anymore. But still he could have added someone nicer or something, I mean he knows I don’t like Holly. So why did he pick her?
With that thought I drifted into this wonderful thing called sleep, or at least in most cases it is.
I was in a park with Vince, I completely normal thing for us. We were just laying on the grass and watching the clouds pass by. No one was talking but it wasn’t uncomfortable either.
“Hey Vince, “ I said trying to get his attention.
Once I had it I continued.
“I have something important to tell you.”
“Okay Val what is it?” He replied like it was no big deal, but he had no idea how wrong he was.
Something was distracting him, I knew from experience that now was not the time to tell him.
“Never mind,” I muttered trying to hide my disappointment.
“You know you can tell me anything” He said after a few moments.
“Yeah, I know” I chirped lightly.
I returned to gazing at the clouds not really paying attention to anything around me. I noticed that Vince was moving around but I paid no mind to it. He probably was trying to get at his phone or something. Someone Jumped in front of me and screamed as a loud crack filled the air. I looked up and jumped to my feet Vince had a gun and was pointing it at me. Vince, my best friend was trying to kill me.
“Run Val, I love you but run now” demanded the boy who took the bullet.
Even though I didn’t know him I found myself running and calling over my shoulder
“I love you too.”
But then again I wasn't truly positive who I was yelling that back at.
I woke up in a panicked state, Vince tried to kill me. I calmed down slowly as I took in my surroundings and realized it was all just a dream. Vince wasn’t out o kill me.
I went to wash all the now dried tears off my face, though I wasn’t really sure where they came from. I didn’t remember crying but in the heat of the moment I might have done just that. I know if that dream was real I would have been balling my eyes out.
