Val’s pov
I started to walk home rocking out to my ipod but just as I rounded the corner from school I saw Sam.
"What the hell" I said to myself
"I thought he went home with a fever."
All I could think of was is he cheating on my with her. ‘Calm down maybe they are just friends, please be just friends’ I thought to myself. But I slightly doubted it she was prettier than me and he ditched school for her.
But why did Vince lie and say he had a fever? That’s the part that didn’t make any sense to me. Something has been off about him since I got together with Sam. But I don’t know what and I don’t know why. I doubt that I’ll be finding out anytime soon, so I guess it’s kind of worthless thinking about it.
Might as well focus on the situation at hand. Who was that girl and why have I never seen her before.
I walked up to Sam and the other girl I have never seen before.
"Hey Sam" I said trying not to sound suspicious.
"Oh hey Val. I want you to meet my favorite cousin Rose" he said like he could tell what I was thinking. Not that I really minded it was kind of cute.
"Hi rose I'm Val" I said totally calm now.
"Hi Val. It's nice to meet the girl that both Sam and Vince talk so much about." she said.
I could tell my face was turning bright red. I mean I was flattered that they talked about me but wow this was embarrassing.
"So Rose I haven't seen you around here before are you just visiting." I asked curiously.
"No my parents kicked me out and I’m living with Sam and Vince" Rose said with tears in her eyes.
"Oh my god. I’m so sorry I didn't know I didn't mean to upset you" I rushed to get out. I felt really bad I mean I just met her and here she is almost crying.
I seriously need more people skills. All of the sudden she started laughing.
"What’s so funny?" I asked very confused was she just pulling my leg or something.
"I’m sorry it's just your rambling and how could you have known my parents kicked me out" Rose said growing serious at the end.
“Well I guess your right" I said.
"But I still feel bad about it"
“It's no big deal” she said.
I didn't get it, her parents kicked her out and all she says is it's no big deal? I would have probably bawled my eyes out, I mean seriously. But to her it’s not big deal. Man people are confusing.
"Well I better be getting home before my mom freaks on me."
"Why would she do that?"
"Umm she likes me home at a certain time or she thinks I’m running away."
"How do you know" Rose asked
“I was late once cause I stopped at the park and I started talking to Vince” I said.
I started to remember the day I met Vince.
Flashback
"Hey" someone said to me as they sat on the swing next to me.
"Hi who are you"
"I’m Vince I just moved here"
"Oh welcome to the town I'm Val would you like a tour" I asked trying to be friendly.
"Sure" he said
"Alright come on" I said grabbing his hand and pulling him along.
As we got back to the park he asked me who my best friend was.
"Her name is Holly, I’m sure you’ll meet her when you start school." I said. All of the sudden the police pulled up
"Are you Val Jinks"
"Y-y-yes o-o-officer why" I stuttered out thinking that something horrible had happened.
"Your mother is looking for you she thought you ran away" "
No, I was just giving Vince a tour of the town cause he is new here" I over explain as many 12 year olds do.
"Ok well it’s time to bring you home"
"ok" I said
"Bye Vince see you later"
"Bye" he said in a small voice.
End of flash back
“See you tomorrow" I said to them as I walked off.

So now you finally know how Val and Vince met. Exciting isn't it? okay well it's really not but still. Sorry that all of these chapters are so short. It's kind of a short story like thing, I'm not sure. But once this is done ihave to decide what story to post next. I know it's going to be one of the ones i finsihed but I'm not sure. I think i might do Saving her heart or whatever i called the one with the original ending. Of course tehn i also have to make the alternate ending just for those of you who get really upset at the ending, or i might not. I mean i like the original ending alot better. it works with the sequel, which I'm also almost finsihed. but yeah keep reading this please :D hope you guys like it even though it's sucky :P
