The Beginning of Darkness [LotR] [COMPLETED]

Proluge

A lone elf stood hidden in the trees on the edge of a large field, swarming with hobbits eating, drinking, dancing and being merry.


For it was a celebration of a very big occasion. It was Bilbo Baggins eleventy first birthday. A very peculiar hobbit according to most after his sudden disappearance almost sixty years ago and return after he was presumed dead. (Much to the disappointment of the Sackville-Bagginses)


Some said that there were secret tunnels in Bilbo's house full of the treasure that he bought back from his journey. But this had never been proven (once again to the disappointment of the Sackville-Bagginses)


There were loud 'Ooh's' and 'Ahh's' from the hobbits as they watched the night sky in awe at Gandalf's spectacular fireworks, the elf looked up and smiled. Gandalf always did make the best fireworks.


"Enjoying the show?" came a voice from her right


She turned quickly bow raised, arrow ready to strike. But stopped herself and smiled. It was the wizard himself.


"I always do Gandalf"


"A bit on edge tonight?" he asked gesturing to the bow and arrow


She sighed and looked back at the field, "The time is getting nearer, I can feel evil lurking closer every day"


"Everything will be alright Mariliel"


Mariliel turned to say something else but the wizard had left


Suddenly there was a loud uproar, Mariliel guessed that Bilbo had made his departure from the party and slowly started to make her way up the hill to Bag End.

So here's the first part of my new story, I was a bit hesitant to do a Lord of the Rings fan fic, I wasn't sure it would ever be good enough to put up here because the ones already on here are amazing but I thought 'What the hell?'

I would really appreciate any comments you have, and if I have made any mistakes (as I know I will) don't hesitate to point them out :)
