The dream

Belle's POV:

"Why is wanting to die so weird to you? You already tried!" Andi back talked.

That comment hit me hard.

Attempting suicide had been the low point of my life... And she had just made fun of it. I started to cry, I needed to escape this stupid place! These people don't understand me.

I ran back to my level and slammed the door to my room. I unzipped the backpack that Julie (favourite nurse... Saved my life... Ring a bell?) had packed me.

I knew there were a pair of nail scissors inside. I had tried to hide them from the security people who were looking inside my bag.

My anger bubbled inside of me. I snatched the scissors and I starting cutting my wrists.

As the blood poured out of the slits, it seemed as though all my worries were flying away...

Even though they were still there.

Cutting was my drug, the best (I should know after chugging down 30 drugs!).

Before I knew it I was cradling my teddy and crying myself to sleep.....

THE DREAM💭

There was a blinding light, shining right into my face.

When the light slowest faded, a figure was left behind.

The figure was dressed in a white robe with a purple sash.

" I, god, herby welcome and congratulate Belle Rose Ashman on making it to heaven. Your parents are waiting for you." God said as he pointed to a pair of golden gates.

My old, ragged clothes quickly turned into a beautiful white dress.

As the golden gates opened, my hands started shaking. What were my parents going to think when they saw me?

A breeze of air slowly pushed my inside the gates. I looked back, trying to catch my last glimpse of god. He saw me and winked.

"Goodbye, Belle!" He bellowed.

I mouthed "thank you" as I turned around.

I gasped loudly as I tried to absorb everything around me.

It was the exact same as my home town, but better! The neighbours house looked friendlier, Mrs Gadmer's lawn looked excellent!

The odd thing was... Miss Molina across the road was still alive... But her house was there. I entered the house and cheered, "Hello, how are you Miss?" She didn't even blink. She just walked straight past me. "Wow! I'm like a ghost!" I thought.

My house stood across the road, exactly the same except painted it bright and happy colours! I took a deep breath as I entered the building.

"Belle!" My mother screamed, "How is my baby girl!?"

"I'm fine mum!" I laughed as I squeezed her tight! "You don't know how much I have missed you!" I said crying!

As daddy walked in my mother softened her voice and said, "We do know how much you've missed us. We watch you all day long. We know you overdosed, and cut your wrists."

My dad came over and kissed me on the head like he always used to.

"You are one brave girl, Belle. But don't give up on life. The Ashman's aren't the type of people who do! When you die of old age we will still be here. We don't go anywhere! We will watch you all day, and help you throughout life." He whispered into my ear.

"He is right, you know. Everyone in heaven is young! Nobody is old. Everyone in heaven is happy too!" Mummy stated, "the doctor was right, Belle. You do have so much to live for."

Breaking the silence, my dad cheered, " Let us take you for a tour, baby girl!

"Last time I went on a tour, didn't go so well!" I exclaimed.

"We know, Andi shouldn't have done that to you!" Mother yelled. "But here in heaven, we forgive everyone, and help them learn from their mistakes."

All three of us walked around the neighbourhood and was some old friends.

Suddenly my dad said, "You know how we never got to go to Hawaii, America because of the plane crash..."

I nodded in response.

"Well... Lets go! Right now!" He shouted!

With that we all jumped onto my parents cloud, which I learnt was the equivalent to a car........ Only way faster!!!

My dad whispered some words and pushed some parts of cloud. Then we were off!!

As we were flying in the air I looked at all the neighbourhoods we passed. Mummy was right! Nobody was old in heaven!

In only 5 minutes we were there... In Hawaii!!

Mother and father walked beside me as we looked at all the sights. My favourite was the beach in Honalulu! It was amazing! The sand was white and the water was so very clear. We stayed there for ages, all playing in the water and making sand angles!

We also went to a theme park called Surf up. It was really awesome! We went on water slides and roller coasters all day. It was gnarly (pronounce narley) dude!

In heaven there isn't time. Time matters so much in the world when it shouldn't. Having no time was the best.

When we decided to leave I was sad. Mum and dad said we should go back. We all kissed and I thanked the them for doing this... It was amazing!

I love my parents!
