Waking up

"Beep, beep, beep"

"Mumm... Turn your alarm off.." I mumbled

When the beeping continued I tried to sit up but failed miserably when my whole body ached. At first I was very confused. But I cringed when all the memories from the plane crash came flooding black into my mind.

I examined the room. It wasn't like the doctors I had been to. There was scary equipment that made me want my parents....

My thoughts were interrupted as a smart looking doctor walked into my "room". His eyes were glued on my faced and were filled with sympathy.

"Belle Ashman," he said softly placing his hand on mine. " We have some good and bad news for you... What do you want to know first?"

"Good" I called out quickly.

"Well, you are a living miracle Belle. 45 out of the 50 people on the plane died. You were one of the survivors because you kept your seatbelt on. You were in a critical stage.. Almost about to slip into a coma when you first came in. We had our best employees help you. Now your alive... Because you are a fighter"

I kept repeating what he said over and over in my mind. "45 out of 50 people died. What about mum and dad!?" I thought.

"What is the bad news?" I questioned the doctor. Although I already had a feeling I knew what it was.

"You parents.... They are...."

"They're alive!!" I interrupted!! Tears started to run down my face. The doctor sighed and pulled me into a big bear hug.

"There in a better place now... Heaven" the doctor whispered into my ear. For some reason, his touch made me feel comfortable and better.

"But I want to be with them! In heaven!" I blurted out.

"I know you do... But you have so much to live for Belle." I appreciated what the doctor had said... But I couldn't help but think...

What do I have to live for?
