Chapter 3

Aimee's P.O.V.

I flicked my hair over my shoulders and stood in the mirror. I inspected what i was wearing.

I grabbed my phone and school bag off my bed and walked downstairs. I grabbed a piece of toast mum made and sat at the island.

"Morning mum" i smiled.

"Morning sweetie, are you ready for school?" mum asked.

"Im not particularly looking forward to school, but i guess i'll live" i said biting into my toast.

"Thats good, but you should probably leave so you wont be late" she smiled.

I got up and hugged her goodbye.

"Bye mum!" i called over my shoulder.

"Bye Aim!" she called back.

I walked out the door and onto the street. I walked along the pathway, breathing slowly. Its so cold that i can see my own breath.

I hurried to school because im running late. I walked into the school gates and walked straight to my locker.

I swapped my books and put my bag in there. I turned around and saw Jayden talking to Kira. It looked like they were arguing. I stood there watching. After a few minutes of arguing, Kira stormed away crying.

I looked at Jayden and he ran his fingers through his hair, then let out a sigh and walked to his locker. I thought i would be nice and go see if he was alright.

I casually walked up to him.

"Hey Jayden" i smiled.

"Hey Aimee" he smiled back.

"Are you alright?" i asked.

"Yeah, wouldnt i be?" he asked closing his locker.

"Well, i saw you arguing with Kira, and you looked pretty upset" i replied.

"That was nothing" he shrugged.

"Jayden, you can trust me" i said.

He sighed and looked away, then looked back at me.

"I broke up with Kira" he said quietly.

"What? Why?" i asked.

"She was controlling my life, i couldnt handle it anymore" he explained.

"I understand, and think of it this way, your free to do whatever you want" i smiled.

"You're right, thankyou for listening" he smiled and gave me a hug.

"Glad i could help" i laughed.

That made him laugh.

"Let me walk you to class, its the least i could do" he smiled.

"Sure, why not" i smiled.

We started talking while Jayden walked me to Maths.

"Well here you are" Jayden smiled.

"Thankyou" i smiled back.

"You know what, how about you come sit with me and my friends at recess? Im sure they would love to meet you" he smiled.

"Sure, id love to" i smiled.

"What do you have next?" he asked.

"I have German in room 9" i replied.

"Well i have a free period, so i'll wait for you there" he smiled.

"Perfect" i smiled.

"Bye Aimee" he smiled.
