The first few days with Hunter have been great, just a lot of lazing around the house in over sized t-shirts and shorts.
But, today was me we're going out to dinner and I was super excited, we were doing kind of like a family dinner and I was told to dress nice, I'd only packed a couple dresses and decided on a black lace dress and a pair of plain black wedges.
I walked into the bathroom and laid my stuff on the counter. I'd been lazy with my hair up and no make up, so I had to look good today.
I borrowed a large curling wand from Christine and curled my hair into large waves and put it into a half up half down style. I did my makeup as usual except I did a light pink and champagne colored eye makeup with a small wing.
I grabbed my phone and threw all my stuff in the top of my suitcase and headed downstairs.
I walked down stairs and saw Hunter waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
He wore black jeans, a black dressy shirt, with black suspenders and a white bow tie.
Man, did I love that boy in black.
I smiled as he said "Wow, you look absolutely gorgeous."
His mom and brothers met us at the end of the stairs and we all drove to a fancy restraunt.
We laughed and had a great time. The food was great, but hard to focus on with Hunter playing footsies under the table.
We ordered dessert and hunter and I shared one. Which he ate most of. But, I couldn't complain. He was too cute when got what he wanted.
We'd just arrived back home when my phone rang, it was my mom."Hi Honey, how's your trip?"
"Really great. I've missed them tons."
"Are you having fun?"
"Tons we just got back from this amazing dinner, what about you? How's work?"
"Well, that's kind of why I called you, honey. I just got back home for a day or two and I went in for a check up."
"Yea.."
"Well, the found a lump on my side."
"Oh my god, mom! Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. The doctor said she's pretty sure it's benign, so they may not even have to remove it, but I wanted to tell you."
"Mom, do you want me to come home because I will."
"Oh, no honey. I know how you've been dying to go out there. I'll be fine, but I'll let you know what they say after my cat-scan tomorrow."
"Okay, mom. Please though, let me know what happens. Ill come home if u have to."
"I'll be fine honey, don't worry. I love you, I'm gonna let you go."
"Love you too mom, love you too."
I hung up and sat on the doorstep outside.
Everyone else had already went in to give me time to talk on the phone.
I leaned my head against the side of their house and wrapped my arms around myself as a shiver passed through me.
I really wish I wasn't alone now, but even more I really hope my mom was okay.
She was her, she's strong and independent. She'd be totally fine, right?
I felt a hot tear roll down my cheek. Please let her be fine."Willow? Are you okay?" I heard Hunter whisper as he shut the front door.
"Oh, yea. I'm totally fine." I rushed wiping the tears off my face.
"You know you don't have to lie to me." Hunter answered as he sat down beside me and pulled me close to him.
I felt so much better with him here, with my head on his chest as he held me."My mom called, she's back home.."
"That's great!"
"No, she went for a check up and they found a lump in her side." I said while tears rolled back down my face.
"Oh, baby..It'll be okay. She's your mom, so I know she's a fighter, just like you. You'll be fine baby, everything will be fine." he whispered to me."I really hope so, Hunter. I really hope so."
