You and Patrick were sitting at a table in a big room that looked like a cafeteria.
Patrick was playing with his food with the plastic fork and rested his head on the palm of his hand.
Next to his plate was his fedora. He found it on the floor of your room this morning, as if it appeared there by magic."You're not hungry?" You asked, trying to start a conversation. He hasn't talked to you since this morning. You didn't know for sure, but you were pretty sure it was because of what you said.
"Yes, but do you really think I'm going to eat this?" He picked his fork up, the fork full of some brownish mixture plopping back down on the plate.
You sighed, looking down.
"Do you know what happened last night?" He asked, putting his fork down and lifting his head up.
You met his gaze and shook your head no.
"Well...this morning, I-I think I had flashback of it, but I'm not sure if it's..." He looked down at his plate and then at his hat.
"If it's? If it's what?"
"I think I remember now."The night before...
Patrick's eyes were still yellow and he kept grunting.
"Okay, I think he's had enough of it." The blond girl said before replacing the bag of the actual drip with another one. She let the new product flow into his veins and stopped the music.
Patrick's eyes slowly turned from yellow to their natural color, blue. He stopped grunting and lowered his head down. The blond girl left the room with the two girls that brought you here.
The girl behind Patrick freed him by undoing the ropes that attached his arms to the chair. She took him by the arm and made him stand up. He immediately fell to the ground on his knees, his body not being able to support his weight anymore.
She went over to you and took the blindfold off of your face, as well as the headphones.
You looked at her as you stood up and then at Patrick, your eyes widened as you saw him. You were about to go to Patrick when the girl took your arm and said "You have two minutes."
"Okay." You ran to Patrick and fell to the ground in front of him, "Patrick!" You placed a hand on his cheek and he met your gaze. He looked like he hasn't slept in days.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean what I said in those texts to you - they forced me to do it."
He didn't say a thing. You pushed his hair out of his face, "Are you okay?"
He shook his head no, "I-I..." Suddenly, his pupils widened and he blinked a few times, saying, "That feels so weird."
"What?" You replied, confused.
"I think she drugged me. It feels...weird, like...like I'm super exhausted but...but not really." He didn't sound like himself.
Tears wavered in your eyes. You heard voices coming from behind the door.
"We've got the boys. Is he ready?"
"Yes."
"Okay, go take him."
The door opened and the same girl with the ponytail entered the room, approaching you and Patrick.
You took him in your arms, hugging him. He hugged you back and kissed you on the lips.
The girl took Patrick by the arm and went into another room, close to the one you were in.You left the room and went into the corridor, seeing three girls pushing three men with bags on their heads to the room Patrick just came in.
