"We'll be back in a few hours," Andy told Joe as he and the other guys left his apartment. Joe, being injured and having a difficult time walking properly, he couldn't come with them.
"Good luck," He said before they closed the door behind them.
The five men got into the Blue Birds' car that was parked in front of the building with Andy driving, Patrick in the passenger seat, and the others in the backseat. Andy started the engine and drove to the city. They stopped in front of a big building, though smaller than rest of the buildings in the city.
Patrick leaned against the window to look at the building standing just a few feet away from him with a red neon sign that read "Twin Skeleton's" on the front of it.
Dave, who was the closest to the the building, chuckled. "Wow, they're not scared that people find them with that sign."
"Except you guys. Nobody knows where our headquarters is, not even the government." Andy stopped before adding, "Well, some people of the government know about it. Now put this on," He demanded, taking ski masks out of a bag and distributing them. The guys put them on. "Okay, let's go," Andy spoke up. He opened the door and got out of the car, the four other men following after him.
Patrick stopped in his tracks, looking at the sign one last time. A crow was droning over the buildings, forming a black form in the purply sky as the sun was setting. This sight reminded him of one of the nightmares he had.
"Come on!" Andy exclaimed, bringing Patrick's attention back to him and motioning him to join them.
They entered the hotel. Guards were standing by the doors and others were walking around, going into different parts of the building. The elevator was just in front of them. Patrick and Andy walked beside each other, Ben, Dave, and Isaac trailing behind.
"Hey, hey, hey," One of the guards that didn't have his helmet on, showing his completely black eyes, said, stopping Ben by putting his hand on his chest, "Who the fuck are you?" He looked at Dave and Isaac, his voice deep.
Andy and Patrick, that were already in front of the elevator, spun around.
"Oh shit," Andy cursed under his breath, "Go in there and find the room. I'll be there in a little bit." He pushed Patrick inside the elevator that just arrived at their level.
"But you said that-" He started but the doors closed before he could finish. He sighed in frustration and pushed on the number six.
He arrived on the sixth floor of the hotel and stepped out of the elevator into a long, deserted, and dark corridor. The lights turned on as he walked out of the machine and took off his ski mask. The elevator was in the middle of the corridor; he could either go left or right. He went left, looking at the doors until he found the one with the number 611. He put his hand on the doorknob and sighed before turning it to open the door that was, contrary to what he thought, actually open. He pushed the door in, revealing the dark room, and patted the wall next to it to find the light switch. Once he found it, he turned the lights on to find that the room was empty. There was only a desk and a computer in the back, which surprised him. How could there only be a computer to control all the chips? He got around the desk and stood in front of the computer, looking through it to find what controlled all those people. "Come on. There must be something about those fucking things."
The click of a gun echoed in the room. Patrick shot his head up, his eyes widening as he saw Brendon standing at the threshold, a gun aimed at his face.
Patrick walked away from the computer slowly, bringing his hands up. "Brendon," He started, looking at the man standing in front of him in the eyes and then away, the angry stare of his old friend making him uncomfortable, "We have to stop them. For everybody's sake. You guys don't know what you're doing."
"Oh no." He chuckled evilly. "We know exactly what we're doing." He put his finger on the trigger, ready to press it at any time. A shout echoed in the corridor, someone calling Patrick's name, it surprised him, causing him to press the trigger.

"Go in there and find the room. I'll be there in a little bit," Andy commanded, pushing Patrick inside the elevator. He turned around and walked to his friends that were now surrounded by multiple guards. "Hey, leave them alone, okay? They're with me."
"They're not with us," The guard replied.
"O-Of course they are." Andy stuttered, getting nervous.
"Oh yeah?" He retorted, gripping the top of Ben's ski mask and taking it off, "I know you." He narrowed his eyes, studying his face. He brought his hand up in the air and moved it slightly. Two guards came up behind Dave and Isaac and took the masks off. The man looked at them then pushed them down at the ground, chuckling. He turned around to face Andy. "So like that you're helping the Blue Birds?"
Andy's breath hitched. He looked at his three friends over the shoulder of the man standing in front of him then back at him. He hesitated for a few seconds then hit the guard in his temple, making him lose his balance and fall to the ground on one knee. Andy ran to the emergency staircase, climbing up the stairs quickly.
"What are you waiting for? Stop him!" The man ordered. Guards darted toward Andy.
Andy arrived at the sixth floor before the guards, their equipment slowing them down. He spun his head to the right then left, spotting Brendon standing in front of a door at the end of the corridor, a gun in his hand. "No," He muttered, breathless and ran toward him, "Patrick!" He screamed. The loud noise of the gun shot rung in his ears, stopping him in his tracks. All of his body turned numb in shock. It was like time had slowed down as he heard the muffled steps of the guard coming behind him and soon fell to the ground on his knees.
The End...?
