*The next morning*
I hadn't talked to Cam since she dropped me off.
I had spent all last night telling the story to my family and friends both at home and over the phone. The camera crew hadn't turned up in time to interview me but I was contacted by several news channels.
Of course I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to be on TV so I agreed half-heartedly. No one had bothered to tell me if that guy was ok even though I had saved his life.
Yeah.
I finally excepted it.
I had interviews booked for the entire next day so I only had one day to find out if the guy was actually alive, and if so, what hospital he was in.
Shovelling coco pops in my mouth I scrolled through Instagram while I waited for Cam to call me back.
Just when I was about to start calling random hospitals to ask, an unknown called ID popped up onto my phone screen.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hello is this Mia Sanders?"
I recognised the voice immediately.
It was Kylie.
"Hey Kylie! How did you get my number?"
"I have my sources." She said quickly. "Now, I would like to tell you that the boy you saved is in a stable condition at the Mater hospital."
I breathed a sigh of relief. "What happened to him?"
"We're not entirely sure. What we do know is that his name is Jason Rider, he's 16 and the only family he has is his wealthy father who is currently in Hong Kong."
"Oh wow. He is able to have visitors?"
"You can come see him after lunch. Just ask for him at the front desk." Kylie said. "Now I have a lot of work to do. Bye Mia."
"Bye."
I barely had time to understand what had just happened.
But I did know that the guy, Jason, was alright and I could go see him.
I nearly knocked over my chair in my hurry to get ready. Sprinting up the stairs I nearly sent Casey flying as he slid down the banister and nearly opened the door onto Ashton as I raced for the bathroom. I hopped up and down while I waited for the shower water to get warm enough to get in. But when I did I immediately slowed down. The warm water loosed all my tense muscles and I relaxed.
Half way to my room I heard my phone ringing. I jogged over to the balcony overlooking the ground level and yelled at Case. "Hey Case can you chuck my phone up?"
