Amy walked through the field on her way home from school. She had gone home this way so many times; she didn’t even need to watch where she was going. She just let her feet go their way while she texted on her phone. After awhile, she had to look up because a huge crow swooped right over her head. It got so close she thought she saw strands of her dirty blond hair in its talons as it flew towards a hill. A hill? For as long as she had taken this way home, she never noticed a hill. The crow swirled around in the sky above the hill. Amy felt herself being drawn to that direction. The crow cawed, and she couldn’t stop herself from running towards it and to the hill that, until now, no one had ever seen there before.
She went to the crow on the top of the hill. She gasped when she saw what was over it. A vast orchard, with blossoms of all types. The crow cawed again and flew straight into the orchard. Well, only one thing to do now, she thought. She went down the hill and into the orchard.
Once in the orchard, Amy had the feeling of being watched. Like she felt someone, or something, was hiding out of sight, perhaps behind the many trees. Still, she enjoyed exploring. She tried to text her mother to tell her that she’d probably be home late, but there was no signal. She shrugged it off and enjoyed her stroll, taking in the bright flowers that rested on the branches. After awhile of walking, she sat down underneath a large tree. She closed her eyes and soon fell asleep…and awoke to see the most beautiful man she ever saw staring at her.
