Amy woke some hours later to a sharp pain in her head. She fell out of bed. She slowly stood up, and she realized it was still night. She heard moaning. She followed the moaning downstairs. She saw Sin and she hid behind a banister. She had a feeling Sin didn’t want her to see him.

He was on a dais and moaning in pain. He had serious looking wounds all over his body, and his hair was matted with blood. Another faerie was there beside him. Amy listened to what Sin was saying to the other faerie.

“It seems Amaranth has broken the law. He was in our kingdom without our knowledge.” He told the faerie.

The faerie’s hands were glowing with a blue light. He put his hands over Sin’s wounds. They appeared to be healing.

Sin continued, “I found a den of Unseelie fey on the outskirts of the village. I was barely able to question them. However, one told me he had been there only hours ago.” Sin sighed deeply. “I hope he doesn’t do anything to instigate war. The last one was so dreadful.”

The healer nodded.

Amy picked that time to go back to bed, but tossed and turned all night.
