one day it all just clicks
You realize what's important and what isn't. You learn to care less about what others think of you and more of what you think of yourself. You realize how far you've come and remember when you thought things were such a mess and that you'd never recover. And then you smile. You smile because you are truly proud of yourself and the person you've become. And I never new this could all be because of a boy..
It was a normal day in the small town of Carlsbad California. I'm a 15 year old, my names Chloe and I'm doing okay. I live at home with my mom, my 6year old sister Clara, and my grandma. I work at s small shop for ice cream and yogurt named Linda's. I work there with my best friend Bailee Madison, and her mom Teresa. It's always been me and Bailee.
I had just left the shop and I had my long blonde hair in loose curls. I had a really light brown loose dress on with a grey sweater and brown boots. I had my grey purse on my my left shoulder and I was standing at the light to cross the street to my house.
Rosie avenue was the streets name. I was waiting surrounded by people feeling alone, as normal when a brown haired boy in black joggers and a Nike sweatshirt on come up to me.
"Hi" he said and I waited a minute. Did I know him? I didn't think so. My heart skipped a beat. "Hi.." I finally responded. "You work back at Linda's?" He asked and surprised me. "I do.. How'd you no?" I asked. "I watched you leave" he shrugged. "You got a name?" He asked. I shook my head "Chloe" I half smiled. "Nice to meet you chloe, I'm Ricky. Do you dance for Abby lee miller?" He asked.   "Uhh I just quit actually" I hesitated to respond. "Oh, why?" He said and we crossed the street. "Just wasn't working for me" I explained. "Don't give up on your dreams, I'm sure your descent" he joked. I chuckled. "You live down here pretty boy?" I joked back. "Somewhat. I was just talking to you. You live down here?" He asked. "Right here" I said as we approached my house that was on the beach.
"Ahh a rich girl who lives on the beach. I see" he said sarcastically. "Actually we got it half off because um" I bit my lip. "My dads in the military" I finally said. "Fair enough. Well nice meeting you Chloe. Hope to see you soon" he said. "Yeah.. Same here" I said taking one last look at him.
I climbed the tree that led up to my window. I couldn't get this image of him out of my head.
