I went home that night and shared a nice meal with my family. We watched tv and relaxed. I had put on a grey t-shirt and leggings. My hair was in a braid and there was a knock at the door.
I ran down to answer, and there was Ricky. I smiled, for real and hugged him. "How'd it go with Bailee?" He asked. "She forgave me. How's your night?" He hesitated. "My dad said he was done with us and finally left me and my mom!" He said like it was a good thing.. "Oh my gosh Ricky!" I said freaking out. All he did was kiss me.
He stopped and said "Chloe that's the best thing that could've happened. Thank you for caring. I love you" he said and my butterflies were crazily dancing.
Just watching Ricky made my eyes lite up. "Chloe.." He said staring at me. "Yeah" I said and he pulled me close. I put my arms around his neck still smiling. "There's nothing more beautiful than a smile Faust struggled threw tears" he said. "I love you so much Ricky" I said.
Clara walked out and saw us with our arms around me. "Aww!" She said and ran up to get in our hug. My grandma came to see Clara and came and got in. Then my mom did too, and his mom too. It was a long hug. I felt loved. Truly loved.
There comes a day when it truly clicks. What's important, what isn't. What matters, what doesn't. I thought one morning you just woke and it hit you. But I guess it takes time. I guess a random boy can walk up to you and teach you several things in 2months. It's incredible.
So wait. Wait for someone to teach you those lessons and several more. And it may not be a boy.. Just keep your eyes open.
We all stopped hugging. Clara and my mom went to give Clara a shower and my grandma went to take a nap. I went up to my room and sat down. I thought about everything that's happened the past months.
I realized almost everything super important has happened on Rosie avenue. I went in my closest and opened up a Box. In the box was Ricky's Nike sweatshirt. I put it on and my black leggings. My hair was still in a braid. I put on convers. It was raining outside. I smiled..
