That day Ricky and I went to in-n-out burger and to best buy for no reason at all. It was 9:00 at night when he dropped me off at home. He kissed my cheek and I smiled. I climbed up my tree and slid in my window.
My mom had left a note. Took Clara to play won't be back for awhile. Gram is sleeping be quite :) see you soon sweetie. It read. I took it an ripped it in half. I was afraid she wasn't come back either.. I kicked my bed and cried. I picked up a picture or my dad and I and ripped it several times.
I saw Ricky jump out of his car and he climbed up my tree. I was so embarrassed. I sat down on my bed and birdied my face in my hands. He came in and sat down next to me. "Calm down chlo. Calm down" he said swaying me. "I thought you said you were okay" he questioned.
"It's all on me Ricky. I have to say I'm okay, I have too. For my mom and Clara. I have to put on a smile and work everyday for them. Sometimes I'm happy, like earlier with you. When I'm with Bailee, but sometimes I do fake smile. Sometimes I'm close to tears when I say I'm okay, but I can't cry in front of my mom or sister or Bailee cause they will all cry too. "Do you know how it feels to not be good enough?" I said with a voice crack and tears streaming down my face. "You know when you're around someone so much, or so long. Gosh they become a part of you. And when they go away, you don't know who you are without them. I explained calming down.
"I knew Chloe honestly when I first saw you you smile but you want to cry, you talk but you wanna be quiet, and you pretend your happy but your not. And Chloe, rejection doesn't mean you aren't good enough; its means the other person failed to notice what you had to offer." Ricky explained. That spoke to me...
