"Hey Jeff who were those guys?" I asked casually while walking up to the bar.
"No one." He replies and fiddles with his finger nail.
"What's in the bag." I asked. I know its rude to asked but... I couldn't help it.
Jeff flinches an at first just stars at me. My words going through his head.
"....w-what bag?" He answered straightening his back and glancing around the nearly full room.
"The little plastic bag the guy gave you at the bar." I explain and point down at the tiny bulge in his left pocket.
His expression changes and his eyes look down at his pocket. He does this slowly as if it what ever that is in his pocket would jump out at him.
"What exactly did you see." Jeff asked in a low voice he frowned slightly as he spoke.
I stay stunned for a moment, he looks really pissed. Maybe I should have just stayed quiet, I think while regretting my choices.
I was about to try and fix this mess but my mouth froze. After a moment of scary silence I had just opened my moth when the boss called for Jeff. Apparently some girl punched a guy.
He stared at me for what felt like a life time before retreating.
~~~after work~~~~
I finished changing a walked over the Jeff.
"You coming." I asked trying to act like he didn't look like he want to punch me earlier.
"Nah I'm meeting some people. I see you later at the flat." He looked nervous and was sweating slightly.
"OK then.", I replied and without thinking I said, "be safe." The words just slipped out my mouth but for some reason a part of me wanted to say it.
