Chapter 3

Emily's p.o.v.

After English was over I grabbed my stuff and put it in my backpack and started walking to my second period class. Chemistry.

I hate chemistry. As I walk into the room I look at the board and find my seat and take out my stuff for the class.

I see a familiar person walk in and he smiles at me. I think his name was Ashton.

He had a lot of hair, he was very tall, and he seemed to always be happy.

The bell rang and he took his seat across from me and a girl sits next to me, she whispers "hi, my name's Julia" she smiles and I say "hey, I'm Emily"

"How come I've never seen you before.. Are you new here?" she asks

"Everyone keeps asking that question, yeah I'm new here" I smile a little "oh cool, we should hang out sometime"

The teacher introduces herself as Mrs. Thompson and says "we have a new student joining us" she points to me and everyone looks at me and I look down

"Her name is Emily and she might need a little help being shown around the school so if anyone wants to help her please come to me after class or raise your hand" she says nicely looking at all of the students

A hand raises and it's that kid Ashton. At least it's someone I know

"Ashton?" he nods "Okay well Emily, Ashton will help you out"

I smile a little and reply with an "okay"

After Chemistry me and Ashton walk to my next class

"So, how's your first day so far?" he smiles

"It's alright.. I guess I've met a lot of new people" I say

"That's good" he says quietly. I look up at him and ask "why did you want to help me out?"

"Well I was in your same position a year ago and I just thought it'll help you and I was also trying to be nice to a beautiful girl" he says and I blush and look down "well, thank you I really appreciate it"

"So you and Calum are friends?" he says

"Umm yeah you can say that" I laugh

"Well me, Cal, Mike, and Luke are in a band" he says

"Oh. Thats really cool" I smile

"We have band practice after school, um you should come" he says nervously

"Okay, where?" I ask

"My house" he says, "here lemme give you my address and phone number.. Can I have your phone for a seccond?"

"Yeah. Here" I say as I pull out my phone and hand it to him and he adds his phone number and types in his adress in my notes

"Ill um see you at lunch?" he says and I smile "yeah"

I head off to music class thinking about seeing the boys. Then I see Calum sitting down in his seat on his phone and I sit next to him.

He looks up and smiles "Oh hey Em!" I set my backpack down and look at him he looks really cute.. "Hey" I say quietly. "Whats wrong?" he asks "huh? Nothing" I say and smile

After a moment of awkward silence I speak up and decide to tell him about going to their bands practice "um Ashton invited me to your guys band practice after school" I say

He looks over to me and wiggles his eyebrows "oh really?" I laugh "Ew. Don't do that again, and we have chemistry together and the teacher asked if someone could show me around the school, and he voulenteered. Then he asked me to come over after school"

"Haha okay. Thats cool, how are you and Luke?" He asks in a funny voice

"Ermm.. I think He hates me" I say sadly

"He can't hate you.. He doesn't even know you..yet" he says smiling
