Chapter Twenty

Sorry it has been awhile since I updated, but my authors note previous to this chapter should explain everything. A friend of mine that I grew up with lost his life in a car accident because the driver of the car had been drinking and sped away from the police and crashed into a road barrier at a very high speed causing my friend to be brain dead on impact. The driver now has 90% brain damage and broke his spine and will never be able to walk again in his life. Now I don't want to preach to you but this needs to be said, don't EVER get in the car with a person that has been drinking, I know this is common sense to most of you but I know so many people who still do this, regardless of how much you trust them as a driver or if you are only getting a 5 minute ride, don't do it! You never know what could happen and its really not worth the risk. My friend will now never get to see his niece and nephew grow up, he will never be able to see his younger sister (my best friend) grow up and get married, he will never get to give his mum and dad a hug again and he himself will never be able to find love and get married and have children all because of one stupid mistake. Thats all it takes, one wrong choice. So I know I may not know you but please think of this situation next time someone offers you a lift.

Anyway this chapter really goes back and forth with point of views, just really needed you's to see each side of the story! I want to dedicate this chapter to 'Eilish_Lorne' who sent me such a beautiful inbox. I suggest you go and follow and read her stories, I have just started and they are really good! Also you should go and follow the lovely 'caitlynwarren', this chapter may not be dedicated to you but the next one is, just didn't want you to think I forgot about you! But seriously go and follow and read her story 'Gotta Be You' needs way more attention, its brilliant! And she is the biggest sweetheart! "But honey, you have worked so hard to get there. You can't just pack up and leave now. What happened to make you want to leave?"

"Mum, I just want to go home okay. I don't need to explain myself."

"Yes you do consider I have paid for your flights there. And also because I am your mother and I'm worried about you. You aren't the type to give up, it was one of the many traits Melissa…"

"Don't mention Melissa! This has nothing to do with her! This is about me wanting to go home! Now if you aren't going to help me I will find my own way back without your help."

"Payton, if you want to come home that is fine. I am your mother and I want to help you but I can't help you if you keep shutting me off!"

"I really don't want to talk about it now. Im sorry. But I promise I will when I get home."

"Fine, I'll organise a flight for you home but your not getting out of this one Payton. I need to know why you are throwing this opportunity away."

"I know Mum. Thank you…I love you."

"I love you too sweetie."

And with that I hung up. I feel as if a massive weight has been lifted from my shoulders. This last week has been brutal, my concentration in classes has diminished and I was failing to take away anything from the class to help me. Harry has consumed my thoughts, and I didn't think I'd have the strength to continue to avoid him.
