The calm snowflakes drifted down onto the thick layer of snow. You were getting dressed in your warmest clothes so that you could pick up a few items for yourself, extra toothpaste, shampoo, etc. You finished and headed downstairs and saw Sans watching TV.

'Hey, I'm going to get a few things, I'll be back okay?' He looked up and smiled.

'Alright cool, don't be too long.' You nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek before heading out. You trudged through the snow and held your scarf so that it covered most of your face, it felt a little colder than usual today.

You reached the small town and hurried to the convention store to get out of the cold. You walked in and was met by a new face behind the desk.

'Hello traveller,' said the new cashier with a warm smile, she looked like a giant rabbit. 'How can I help you?' You had a puzzled look on your face but decided to return the warm smile.

'Hello, if you don't mind me asking...where is Mindy?' She chuckled.

'Oh Mindy? She's on vacation, I'm taking over for her. My name is Ruby' You smiled and stuck out your hand over the counter.

'Nice to meet you, I'm (Y/N).' She shook your hand and studied you.

'Oh, I've seen you around here. Your Sans' girlfriend aren't you?' You nodded and she chuckled. 'Yeah, I've never seen him happier ever since you decided to drop in.' You cocked your head to the side.

'What do you mean?' She sighed softly.

'He would usually just wandered around either alone or with his brother. He does have friends, but they practically live in Grilby's. He would always walk in a slow manner, his smile not as big as you'd think it would be for a funny guy like him.' She looked and you with a small smile. 'But now, he has a spring in his step, his smile wide and he isn't always walking alone.' You felt butterflies in your stomach. Sans was...happier? You didn't know Sans was sad at some point. 'It's a shame though, if Asgore finds out you're here, he'll rip you to shreds.' Your face fell.

'A-Asgore?' She nodded.

'Yup, he's the ruler of the Underground. He's a nice guy, though when it comes to human souls, he doesn't hold back.' You staggered back a step, clenching your chest in fear. Ruby leaned over the counter. '(Y/N) are you okay?' You gulped and sweat dripped from your forehead.

'He's going to k-kill me??' You asked anxiously. She sadly nodded. You sat down on the floor, it was hard to take this all in. Ruby felt your pain and walked around the counter and grabbed something from a nearby shelf. She then walked over and sat next to you, handing you the item. You gingerly took the item, it was a cinnamon roll.

'Free of charge, and it's my own recipe.' You gave Ruby a small smile, it was her gesture of apologising for freaking you out about Asgore. You calmly got up, thanked Ruby for the cinnamon roll and left the shop.

Sans had a lot to explain to you.

(sorry if this is short to you, it was slightly hard to bring this chapter together! I'll make up for it. Thanks for supporting me!)
