You woke up to yelling.
You were dazed and felt as if you're spinning in a circle.
The voices seemed as if they were distant.
'Sans...?' You mumbled. Were you back at the skeleton house? Was all of this just a bad dream? ...no. You couldn't seem to make sense of anything, though the voices seemed to get louder. You tired to get up, you winced in pain. You rubbed your eyes and tried to see what the problem was, your arm was bleeding. You looked all over yourself, cuts, bruises, burns. Everything soon came flooding back into memory.
The fight.
Asgore.
The figure.
Who were they? You looked around, it was slight dark but you could still see. The voices became louder, you turned to see who they belonged to. There was Asgore, he seemed to be battling someone. Well it's not you...so who could it be.
'Asgore! Let her go!' You heard a familiar person.
'Sans?' You called. You heard a gasp.
'(Y/N)??' You heard the familiar voice call back, but it was then followed by a cry of pain.
'Sans!' You tried to move but the burns and cuts were too painful. You heard a groan, you lifted your head to see a fuzzy haze of blue and white, it was rapidly running towards you. You felt a pair of hands on your face.
'(Y/N), stay with me!' Sans firmly exclaimed, you reached for his face.
'Sans...why?' He gently held onto your hand.
'I'm doing this for us,' he gently kissed you. 'I'm doing this for you.' He got up and rushed back to Asgore. 'Asgore! Leave her be!' Asgore fumbled for words.
'W-we need the soul, monsters need their freedom. It's been too long!'
'I know that, but this isn't the way to go about things!' Sans retaliated. He stepped closer to Asgore. ''Asgore, please. I love this kid too much to see her die. She has given me hope for a better future, she gives me life,' A tear streamed down his face, 'she gives me happiness I thought I would never see again.' Asgore dropped his spear and stepped back.
'I...I didn't know you cared so much...' Sans nodded. He calmed walked over to you and brushed some lose hair from your face. He gave you a painful smile and softly kissed your forehead. Asgore nodded. 'I once had love like that...but it was my arrogance and obsession with the human souls that drove her away from me...' He sighed deeply. 'I can't take that away from you, it wouldn't be fair.' He walked out of the room. Sans held you close.
'Are you okay (Y/N)?? Are your injures bad? Do you need a doctor?' You put your finger over his mouth to Shoosh him.
'You talk too much.' You simply said. He chuckled and embraced you.
'My life was a living hell without you.' He whispered to you.
'I'm sorry.' He smiled at you.
'You apologise too much.' He held you tight, his eye was flaming multiple colours. The capsuals that held the souls began to shake. CRASH. They smashed open. They circled you and Sans, whirling, picking up speed. Sans didn't notice, nor did he care, all he cared about was you it his moment of time.
Everything went white.
CRRRRRAAAASSSSHHHHHH.
The white is gone,
Where are the souls? But more importantly:
'Where is the barrier?' You quietly asked Sans. He perked his head up and looked around, the two of you were in a field of grass. The sun was shining in the sky, the breeze was calm and cool. Sans was trembling. 'Sans are you okay?' He turned to face you, he was crying. But this was different, he had the biggest smile you've ever seen.
'(Y/N)...it's beautiful...' He turned to you. 'But not as beautiful as you though' he chuckled, you gave him a small kiss, he blushed lightly and laughed, hugging you tightly.
'Sans...you're free.' You quietly said. He turned back to the grassy hill.
'Huh, I guess I am...' He turned back to you with another big smile. 'But strangely, I just want be here with you.'
'Goddamn, you're smooth Sans.' You laughed, he joined in.
