Tori had a problem. Her best friend, Hayley Green, was also one of the ten Cinderella contestants. This almost never happened, because the Cinderella winners always tried hard to make sure that friendships wouldn't be torn apart during the course of the Cinderella Game, but every once in a while there was a slip-up. Now, Tori had no Fairy Godmother, and as much as she wanted to win, she didn't want her friendship with Hayley to suffer.

Tori sighed, taking one last look at the list before tearing her eyes away. She had no idea what she was going to do now.

She went to Hayley's house anyways, hoping somehow things would be okay between them. Hayley wrapped her in a hug as she walked in, squealing. "Congratulations, you're one of the ten!"

Tori smiled and hugged her back, a little more hesitantly. "We're okay?" she asked, just to be sure.

"Of course! We're not gonna let this game come between us, right? What kind of friends would we be?" Hayley assured her.

Tori smiled and Hayley told her that she had been thinking about who her Prince Charming should be but that she had no idea, and that she also needed a new Fairy Godmother, since Tori was also going to be in the game. Tori was content just to sit and let her friend talk for as long as she wanted, not being a very talkative person herself.

A week passed by and Tori made her choices. She chose one of her good friends to be her Fairy Godmother, choosing her because she knew she was good at knowing exactly what to wear and basically everything a girl could want in order to get ready for Homecoming, or, in this case, the ball, and she spent a night with this Fairy Godmother, looking through the yearbook and deciding on her Prince Charming. The idea of having the contestants choose their Prince was stressful, but it was also meant to make the game as fair as possible. By letting the girls choose who they would get to chase after them, it eliminated the problem of the senior Cinderella rigging the game and choosing a winner. This method let everyone have as much of a chance as they chose for themselves.

Tori went alone at lunch to find Alexis and tell her her choices. She calmly listed off her names. Ariella Waters for her Fairy Godmother, and Tyler York as her Prince Charming.
