Tori stared at the flyer in her hand. She was one of the chosen ten? She knew what the Cinderella Game was, it was a tradition that had been passed down through the girls of Jamestown High for generations. All the girls knew about it, no matter how new they were to town, and she was one of the chosen ten contestants for this year's game.
Alexis, the senior girl who had been crowned the Cinderella of the previous year's game smiled at Tori's shocked expression. "Do you understand all of the rules?" She asked.
Tori nodded, her hands shaking partly out of excitement and partly out of nervousness.
"You understand what you are expected to do?" Alexis asked again. Tori nodded, taking a deep breath. "Good, you have two weeks to tell me who you have chosen for your Prince Charming! This year, the ball is Homecoming, so be there!" Alexis sang, dancing away down the hall to inform the other chosen contestants and give them the list of rules.
Tori looked at the paper in her hands and couldn't contain her excitement any longer, squealing and jumping up and down. She had been dreaming of this ever since she'd heard about it as a freshman!
I NEED TO TALK TO YOU AFTER SCHOOL, EMERGENCY!!! Tori texted her best friend, needing to tell someone before she burst.
My house, Hayley replied simply, used to Tori's overreactions.
She quickly tucked the flyer away in her bag, rushing to her next class, doubting she could stay still for even five minutes.
