Warning: Rant
Some jerk was talking bad about Hamilton. In my face! It all started when my teacher told us we could listen to music while we studied in class. She asked what I was listening to and it went from there. She was really dumb about it to. Like she didn't even care that it was making me mad. The next day she even had the nerve to say, "Are you still listening to your founding father stuff?" I know it doesn't sound bad, but her tone of voice totally changed the meaning of the question. I swear! Just because you think it is stupid doesn't mean that it is. Last I checked Hamilton was the top selling hip hop album right now(This info may be wrong or have changed). Big names go to see it. It is one of the biggest sensations on Broadway! And have I mentioned that Lin-Manuel Miranda, the writer of Hamilton, also wrote another musical called In the Heights. Or that he wrote music for the Star Wars movie? Or that he is writing music for the next Disney Princess movie?!? Show some respect for Theatre you idiot. Lin-Manuel Miranda worked on that musical for over a year! And is performing in it every night. During the day he is writing music for other people and going on with his life! "The man is non-stop" And what have you done it the last few months? Make an A on a test? Or read a book? Congratulations on your great accomplishments! (Note the sarcasm) Even me, some thespian who isn't even that experienced, wrote a 10 minute play in 4 hours that actually held its own against two older and more experienced writers. Hamilton is more than a joke. I have cried over that play. That play has changed people's lives. Even non-thespians are into it! Heck! My mom is into it! Next time you say something against theatre and a show. I suggest running far far away. Because I am going to give you a piece of my mind!
Rant Over
