Chap 2: Can't let each other go

As we finished eating, we started really to stare intently at each other, it got a bit weird. Then out of nowhere it burst out of my mouth. "I have to head home, thank you so much for the ice cream"
"As I said, it was my pleasure" he repeated.
I turned away, looking at my car.
" Can I have your phone number?" He questioned me. I stuttered.
"Y, you want my number?" I questioned
"Yes, I mean if I can?" He wondered. "Of course you can!" I instantly responded. I took my phone out of my purse.
"It's, 71002138." I read out the numbers. I thought I would have to repeat them, because I read them out to quickly.
"Got it" he said. "Wow,I am surprised you go all of that!" I sounded very surprised as I said this.
"Well,thanks. I hope to see you again and arrange something!" He replied.
"Yes,we will arrange something. For sure" I reassured him. "This has been pleasant, I enjoyed it" I said.
"Me too" he said to me.
"I've got to get going, bye. Don't forget to text me!" I started to walk as I said this.
"Bye. I'll definitely text you!"
Those were our last words of the evening. I was happy, something about him made me happy. But now it was time to drive home. I decided to text him tomorrow, because tonight was too late. I got in my car. And slammed the door behind me.I got my hand in my purse, hoping to find my keys. Thank god I did!
I placed them in the car and turned to switch it on. I got out of the parking spot, and drove down in the yellowish morning light. I felt ecstatic. But I also missed him. It was like I couldn't let him go. I thought straight away, we were destined to find each other.
