Chap 3: text messages

I brushed my teeth, washed my face and got ready for bed. It was 2:00am. I couldn't stop thinking about him. As I slumped in bed, waiting to shut my eyes, he was all I thought about. I read a book, hoping it would take my mind of him, but it made me think of him more. So I switched off my bedside lamp. And it was like I was laying suspended in space, pitch black all around me. And the stars on my ceiling shining brightly. It was pretty magic.
Something pinged. It ruined the moment. It was my phone. I sighed and rolled over on my side to check my phone. I picked it up, the message read
"Hi are u still awake?" It was from the guy I met at the park, I felt over the moon.
"Yes. I forgot to ask what your name is" I replied quickly.
" It's Brandon, what's yours?"
I texted him back , "Flora is my name."
"That's a beautiful name. It reminds me of flowers, beautiful flowers."
I blushed again. " Stop" I replied. "Your making me blush;)"
"I can't stop thinking about you!" He texted me.
"Me neither" I admitted.
I looked at the time on my alarm clock. It was only 2:20am, it all went in slow motion.
I texted him " We should probably get some sleep. I have got school in the morning."
"Me too, good night then."
"Night." And I then switched my phone off, with a smile on my face that left me joy. And now I could sleep.
