"Please Linda, don't make me go!" I pleaded
"You're going and that's final"
I let out a heavy sigh and sunk my shoulders in defeat, it was far too late to play sick.
"C'mon, get ready or you'll be late" linda said, making it sound as if it were a suggestion
I left the protection and warmth of my bed so i could get dressed for the joy that was school.

"Sam, you ready?" Linda called up from the kitchen
I zipped up my hoodie before turing off my light and shutting my door
"Yeah" i responded as i walked down the carpeted stairs to meet linda and my school bag
"Lets go then, i don't want you being late"
"Linda its ten past eight, school doesnt start until nine" i sighed
"You can never be too cautious"
I rolled my eyes as i watched linda unlock the door and hold it open for me. As soon as i stood outside, i could feet the cold air cling onto me like two magnets coming together. It would begin snowing soon, that would be fun.
"Sam stop daydreaming and get in the car" linda said as she closed the car door
I walked over to the red car, it was always shiny and clean, Ryan always took such good care of it, and here i am; not even knowing what type of car it is.
I plunked down on the grey leather seat and buckled my seatbelt whilst linda started the car and shut the garage door.
It wasn't long before we had arrived at the front gate of the school, the pure sight of it put knots in my stomach
"C'mon sam, time to get out"
I nodded slowly as i exited the car and walked up to the front gate, there was no turning back now.
I made my way to the seat David and i always sat at, of course David was already there. However he wasn't sitting face down like he normally was, he was standing up and leaning against the wall. I walked up to the slender and tall David, he gazed down at me before leaning close to my height. I always found it annoying how people did that.
"And who have we here?" He rhetorically asked, his words dripping in a new and unheard tone
He straightened his back and leaned onto the wall once more
I looked to the ground before looking back up at him as I attempted to speak
"D-david...i-...i dont....i didnt..."
I could feel my face heating up with the blush of embarrassment
I was making a fool of myself
"What?" David snapped down at me aspect he glared viciously into my eyes
Something was off, he had his fringe tucked behind his ears, revealing the true colours of his eyes.
They were a deep olive green, tiny specks of brown glistened in the dim lights of the room. I was never able to notice such glorious eyes before.
"Didn't you hear me?"
I froze up at the sound of his voice, it was sharp, as if his words were tiny blades digging into my mind.
"I-i...David-i'm..." I couldn't get the words out from the throat
"What the fuck do you want?" He snapped at me
That was it. That was the final blow.
I couldn't speak, nor could i move, all i could feel was the loud thudding of my heart.
His words were more than tiny blades, they were vicious cobras biting into every spot of my body
"Get out of my way, short ass" he said as he shoved me aside, causing me to fall onto the table
Something was wrong. Did i hurt David so much that he hated me? Was he trying to act as if he never knew me?
I sat down on the cool chair and rested my face in my hands.
I just wanted to disappear.
It felt as if there were a large ball in my throat, my heart was about to beat out of my chest and my stomach was in tight knots.
What had i done?
