Dylan checked on me periodically throughout the night. He was on shift at the hospital anyway. I guess I should sign up for an internship here... I know most hospitals require you to finish medical school, but I want to get a head start. I'm pretty sure my Anatomy teacher would write me a recommendation. Maybe I'll ask Dylan about it. I don't really understand why he is still taking classes even though he has finished his medical degree.
Before I could dive deeper into my thoughts, Dylan walked in "Hey babe how are you feeling?"
"Much better. I just want to get out of here. I thought they were just going to keep me overnight?" I sighed.
"Yeah I just talked to the doctor, he said he is filling out the release papers right now."
"Thank god. I am ready to get out of here. But I don't even want to think about how much work I have to make up in class."
"Don't worry I ran by all of your classes and got your work. Don't worry, you don't have that much work. You only missed one day, and with all of the commotion with Aaron Mathews being on campus the teachers didn't do much in class."
"How did you know my class schedule?" I chuckled.
"Well Steph gave it to me." He blushed and looked down at the floor.
"Aw well thank you."
"Of course! Thats what boyfriends are supposed to do right?" I slid over so he could come sit on the edge of my bed.
How did I get so lucky. We have been dating less than a week and he is already treating me like royalty. He sends me flowers, even though they didn't have a name tag, I could tell they were from him. And he sat with me for hours while I was passed out for days.
"Hey Dylan?"
"Yeah." He said looking into my eyes.
"Thank you for everything. The flowers were amazing. And the doctor was very impressed how you just sat her talking to me while I was asleep for all of those days." I smiled up at him.
He looked confused for a second and then just nodded his head and kissed me. "Of course. Anything for you!"
Just then Dr. Renolds walked in with my release papers.
"Ok Lila you are all set. Take these vitamin supplements twice a day and make sure you are eating properly. Best of luck to you finishing your medical degree!"
Dylan helped me collect my things and then drove me home. The drive home was quiet, but not the awkward kind of quiet, the peaceful quiet. When I got home I made myself some pasta and sat down at the table to finish my work for tomorrow. I'm kind of mad that Dylan didn't even walk me upstairs. He just kind of dropped me off. I don't even remember him saying goodbye. Whatever, I'm probably being paranoid. That night I went to bed early to prepare for a full day of classes. I'm just hoping Aaron isn't in any of them.
Yay a new chapter! Sorry It's so short and boring its just a filler. Don't worry the drama is just beginning. I am at the beach and I wrote most of this chapter sitting on the porch. But break is almost finished and its making me really sad :( . Anyway I will try and write another chapter tonight, but it will be late. Enjoy!
