"Riley Sanders and Miranda Karol." The man called for their names, while we stood in front of the stage. I gave them a hug for good luck. They both squealed away with excitement.
They entered the stage. "Hi, I'm Riley, and this is Miranda." I watched as some people would glance up at them. The music started to play; the tune was very familiar but I couldn't grasp what it was.
"So much for my happy ending." Miranda sang while Riley went "Oh oh."
I screamed real loud to cheer them on, everyone drew their attention to them. Everyone started to cheer and clap. I smiled at them, they were incredible; taking turns on each verse, and sing the chorus together.
Once they finished everyone cheered and screamed really loud. I was most likely gonna lose.
Miranda and Riley jumped on me giving me hugs. "Oh my God! You're gonna love it!" Riley smiled ear to ear.
"Its such a rush!" Miranda added.
I giggled, "I'm gonna lose, that was freaking incredible."
They just blushed.
"Lennon Thompson!" The man called for me to come up to the stage. The girls surrounded me in a hug, "Go get em."
I quickly ran up to the stage. I walked out, straight to the middle where an 'X' was placed for me to stand. The band behind me checked the list and nodded. The drummer clicked his drumsticks together creating the beat.
I took a deep breath and started on my que, "At Last, my love has come along. My lonely days, are over. And life is like a song!"
The crowd all looked up and screamed. "Woooooo!!!"
I couldn't help but blush; I searched Isaac, and Zach. They were nowhere that I could see, so I continued to sing. When I finished everyone screamed, and cheered. All of them called for my name. Did they want me to sing again?
I exited the stage, and made my way to Riley and Miranda. "Oh my God! You killed it!" They exclaimed as they rushed up to me swarming me in hugs. "I guess it's obvious that you won." Riley smiled.
"We're gonna go volunteer for the kissing booth. You can either come with us and watch the grossest thing ever, or look for Zach?" Miranda smirked as she held my hand.
"Well, I'm not gonna stand here, But I don't wanna put you guys through that." I said, "So let's go walk around, and ride some rides?"
"Hell Yeah!" Miranda exclaimed as she threw her fist in the air.
We walked around, we rode several fun rides. We finally grew exhausted. "Can we sit down for a few?" I asked.
"Yeah, I don't blame you." Miranda slouched her back letting out a weird breath.
I gave her a weird look, but she didn't see me. Riley giggled at my face. "I had to deal with that since we were in diapers." Riley whispered. "But don't worry, you'll get used to it."We sat down under the pavilion, and got some shade.
"You know, I can't get your voice out of my head. No matter where I go." The voice sounded familiar, I looked up to see Isaac smiling ear to ear; revealing his dimples.
"Oh, Hi Isaac!" I try to stay calm but come off over excited. I give him a hug. "I'm sorry if that was weird to hug you, these weirdos have been hugging me all day." I joke with Riley and Miranda, they just laugh.
"Hey guys." He nods his head towards them saying hey in a cool way. "Can I talk to you for a bit?"
"Yeah sure." I smiled, I turned to face Riley and Miranda they smiled, "I'll be back in a little bit."
"Ok, have fun!" They waved.
I started to walk off with Isaac. "I didn't know that you sang. Especially in front of people, I would've died."
I giggled, "Well, if you consider singing to the loofas hanging in your shower people then yeah, I'm not scared of the stage."
He started to laugh. I just wanted him to keep laughing. "You're funny. I like that about you."
My cheeks started to heat. Was he showing me that he liked me? Should I kiss him? Should I hold his hand? Make a move? "Thanks, my dad would always joke around when I was growing up, and I guess that I just somehow picked it up." I decided not to make a move, just go with the flow.
"Well, you picked it up nicely. I wouldn't be able to pull it off." He giggled, "I'm like one of those people who thinks he's funny, but when I actually try it comes off like I'm a perverted creep, who doesn't know what's going on." He kicked a rock out of the way, "I had one person laugh, one time though... I told one of my weird jokes, and I guess that this guy's laughed so hard that he choked on a butterscotch and died."
I gasped, "Oh my God! Are you serious?!"
"No."
"You're not serious?"
He looked at me, "Oh no," He giggled, "You believed me?"
"Yeah." I laughed at myself.
"No, that would've been very sad if he died on a butterscotch. The best candy ever." He smiled.
I laughed, "Well, at least he would've died happy."
"Yeah, but that's not how I would wanna die."
"How would you wanna die?" I asked as I nudged his shoulder.
He smirked, "Why do you wanna know? Are you gonna kill me?"
I laughed, "Stop being a smart ass."
"I know, I'm sorry." He blushed, "The way I would like to die, is to have the woman that I've loved since the day I met her, next to me. As long as we're holding each other, and can tell each other how much we love each other, or say goodbye in our dreams; knowing that we'll meet soon enough. No matter where we are."
The biggest smile spread across my face. It was one of the sweetest ways to go. To have the person that you've loved, your best friend, your significant other, with you. I was in awe of how sweet and perfect he was. How he actually had a heart and cared about love. "That's a sweet way to go." I smiled.
His hang reached out for mine, was he? Oh my God! His hand intertwined with mine. He turned to face me, "I really enjoy talking to you. You're not like most girls, you listen and you're yourself..." He looked at my feet, then back at me. His bluish green eyes made me melt, "Would you wanna go do something, like this, but another time... because I don't wanna take you away from your friends."
I smiled, "Yeah, I would love that!" I giggled, "How about tomorrow? Since it'll be Saturday, I'll have the whole day off and we can have a whole day of hanging out."
"Yes, that will work perfectly!" He cleared his throat, "I mean, that'll be perfect."
I giggled, "You don't have to act cool around me. You just being yourself is attractive." I pecked his cheek. His smile grew large, and his cheeks turned red.
"I'll walk you back to your friends." He grinned.
We continued to walk back to Riley and Miranda, while we had weird conversations. I really enjoyed Isaac.
