Pregnant [chapter 2]

Lexi shooked her head but held my hand tightly when Tiffany came back holding a piece of paper. She looked up towards me with a sad look in her eyes. No, maybe she's tired? not feeling well?

"Scarlett, you're pregnant"

Those words. No, it can't be. How can I be pregnant? It's a mistake. Maybe she took someone else's paper. Not mine. It couldn't be mine. It can't be mine. I couldn't stop myself. It all got too real, I just burst into tears and hugged Lexi.

Tiffany just sat back down and waited for me to calm down which I did a few minutes later. "I'm sorry but I double checked two times to make sure and it shows that you're 3 weeks pregnant" Tiffany explained.

I didn't say anything except for nodding my head. I felt too ashamed of myself. What would other people think of me? I've never imagined my life to be like this, this bad, this evil...

"If you want, I can help you check the baby now so that you wouldn't have to worry about a check-up soon" Tiffany asked.

"um... ok" I replied. I couldn't think straight. My mind was blank. The fact that I have a baby growing inside me. A baby that I made, made me sick. I couldn't keep it. Not now, I can barely look after my baby cousins and now I have my own baby to care for?

"please lie down on the bed Scarlett"

I did as I was told and Tiffany checked everything. I couldn't see the baby yet because it was too small but I could hear the heartbeat which made me smile a little.

"the baby is all fine. You have to make sure you eat healthy stuff and drink plenty of water, get vitamins too," Tiffany explained.

I nodded my head again, smiling a little to Tiffany. I was lucky that I got a good doctor.

"well, your next appointment should be next month or next 2 month, which one do you prefer?" Tiffany asked me.

"um... maybe the next 2 months slot" I bit my lip nervously.

"okay... well, I've booked you a date with me, I'll remind you through your phone" Tiffany smiled as she got up to shake my hand and Lexi's. "good luck Scarlett"

I thanked her again and walked out of her room. There was nobody there and the nurse was sleeping! Me and Lexi shooked our heads and headed outside.

"so where do you want to go?" Lexi asked me.

"mm, maybe something to eat? then we can go to your place" I suggested.

"eating sounds good, But my place? I'm not that dumb to keep you for so long you know"

"nah, I'm just sleeping over" I answered casually, hailing a cab.

"are you serious? aren't you going to tell your parents?"

"yea I'm serious and I will call them once we reach your house" I replied.

"ouh ok then... " Lexi replied.

A few minutes later, we reached the mall and chose to eat at Mc Donald. I ordered double cheese burger and Lexi ordered fish burger.

"so what are you going to do about your baby?" Lexi asked after we settled down.

"I'm still not sure, maybe adoption?" I shrugged.

"I meant, as in the baby supplies and everything actually.... but seriously? you're giving your own baby up?"

I thought about it, I don't exactly mind keeping it but if the father decided to leave.... the father. Yes, the guy who got me pregnant. His also responsible for this, he also made this baby so he should be in this together with me.

"maybe, I'm still not sure,"

"but Scarlett, why? you're going to go through all the pregnancy symptoms and the pain of giving birth and you wanna give it up for adoption?"

"it's not all set, I have to ask for my parents opinion too but if I really have to give it up... then I guess I will"

"right, then we'll let your parents knock some sense into you"

"ok?"

Authors Note: sorry this is short :/ I wanted this chapter to be about Scarlett finding out about her pregnancy only... but there's always next chapter!! X)
