Pregnant [chapter 4]

"chill, I was joking, but you've really gone all red and trembly for a moment" Lexi said.

"...uh huh, well maybe because he came out shirtless, I mean, who wouldn't... right?" I answered her.

"so you think my brother is hot?" Lexi grinned.

Honestly, her brother was way hotter than hot. Almost all the girls in my school wants to date him but he haven't chose anyone. He dosen't even have a girlfriend! Lexi said there's this mystery girl he's waiting for. Even though he is, to admit handsome, I didn't have feelings for him at all. He gets on my nerves all the time.

"hello to Scarlett, still there? you zoned out abit" Lexi said, waving her hands infront of my face.

I brushed it off and kept walking till we reach school. Yes, we walk to school since it's quite near our house.

When we arrived 3 mins later, we went to our locker and took out our books before heading for our first class.

I was lining up in the cafeteria for my food when I suddenly felt someone's hand around my waist. I immediately turned around to see Luke grinning at me. What's up with him?

"uh, Luke?" I asked, uncomfortably.

"Can I please talk to you for a while? in private?"

I felt scared when he said that with seriousness, there was definitely something up. "ok"

He nodded and grabbed my hand and led me to a quiet corner.

"so what is it about?" I asked, folding up my arms once he let it go. I wanted to get away from him as fast as possible.

"are y...yo... you uh, pregnant?" he asked akwardly.

Oh.My.God.

My heart seemed to have stopped pumping as I felt my blood froze. How did he find out? did Lexi tell him? if she did, she's gonna be in big time trouble. But... I've been with Lexi since yesterday, how could she?

"don't worry your goody goody best friend didn't tell me, I heard it. I mean, When you were having dinner in MY house, I was in my room and I was about to head down when I heard your 'baby' convo with Lexi and my mum" Luke said, looking at me directly.

So he heard. I definitely have to make something up. "....uh,"

"the truth Scarlett, nothing but the truth" Luke warned.

Ok, here goes nothing. "I... um, yea, pregnant..." I blushed.

He turned to face me, a straight look on his face. Seriously, what's up with this guy? did he have a crush on me or something? and why am I feeling sort of attracted to him? is it because I'm carrying his baby ....? I really hope so. I don't want us to be a couple. All I wanted is for him to support me and be in his child's life. The kind of thing a father does for their child. Only, we don't stay together and we can have a schedule on when he can pick his child up and everything. That's all, nothing more.

"who's child?" he demanded breaking me out of my thoughts.

"uh, um... I'm not too sure..." I stuttered turning red. Great, now he thinks I sleep with random guys and got pregnant with one of them.

His eyes flickered for a moment. "you don't even know whose the father? you slept with more then one person at that stupid party!? I thought you were a... a.... well who cares anyway, I thought wrong!" he yelled at me.

I shrinked back behind abit. Luke was looking really angry. WHY?

"I'm-"

"you're what?" he interupted angrily.

"...sorry... " I whispered. I felt tears trickling down my cheeks. Why was he shouting at me? I know I should have told him the truth. It would have saved so much trouble. But I didn't. My life is so messed up now. What should I do? what can I do?

I felt Luke's gaze on me and felt self-conscious. I met his gaze, he didn't look so angry now, it made me feel a little better.

"how are you going to look after it yourself? you don't even know the father... what would your parents say? I thought you were different Scarlett, I really thought" Luke sighed.

I couldn't take it anymore. I fling myself into him and buried my face in his chest. Surprisingly, he hugged me back. "I don't know Luke...I'm lost" I wept.

"how far are you?" he asked, still holding onto me tightly.

"um, 3 weeks" I mumbled inside his chest.

"can't you guess who's the dad?"

I hesitated to reply to that. He was the first guy I slept with! of course his the father of this baby.

"Scarlett, is that a no?" Luke sighed as he pulled me of him and held my shoulders.

I didn't reply him. There were so many questions inside my head I was dying to ask. Why did he become so worried about me? Why did he suddenly care so much about me since his been a jerk? Why does he bother about me and my babies future? he should worry about the baby of course seeing it's his child but...he still dosen't know!
