Pregnant [chapter 5]

The bell rung indicating school was over. I kept my books and slung my school bag over my shoulders before leaving class.

The 'Luke finding out I'm pregnant' incident was still fresh and lingering in my brain.

"Luke, why are you uh, so worried about me?" I asked him.

He looked away.

WHY?

".... you're my sisters best friend Scarlett and like another sister to me?" he said, more liked asked.

"but-"

"look Scarlett, we'll continue talking later. I'm going to meet my friends. Be safe and um, look after the baby"

He was obviously feeling nervous and was attempting to change the topic or get away from it at least.

WHY?

Urgh, why do I have so many questions?

"um, ok bye" I answered.

He nodded and left me standing there, feeling dazed.

I sighed and walked over to my locker to meet Lexi. Just as I reached our meeting place, I felt really nauseous. I immediately dropped my school bag in my locker and ran to the nearest bathroom.

Once I was done, I rinsed my mouth and washed my face. Urgh, I hate this so much. I wouldn't have to go through all this if I wasn't pregnant but I made a mistake and I have to face it. I know for sure that even though my parents will be upset, they would NEVER EVER let me abort a baby. I'm also putting that idea aside. So it's either adaptation or keeping it.

I heard the bathroom door open and someone walking in. I didn't pay attention who though, I just grabbed a tissue and was about to walk out when someone grabbed my shoulders.

I stifled a scream as I turn back to see it was only Jennifer, one of my classmates.

"you scared me" I muttered.

"sorry, I just saw you running to the bathroom so I came by to ask you if you're ok" she smiled.

She's really kind and well-liked by lots of people. Even though she's not in the popular girls group, many people wants to be her friend but she's sensible and choose people 'her type'

"I'm.. erm, fine" I stuttered. "thanks though"

She nodded "are you sick?"

"uh, no. Maybe I ate something bad" I lied. So maybe she's too concern to my disliking.

She didn't seem to believe me but I didn't care either. I didn't want my secret to be revealed so easily by people I'm not exactly close with.

"thanks and see you around" I dodged pass her to the exit and ran back to my locker to see Lexi tapping on her foot impatiently.

When she saw me, her face turned into a frown. "where have you been? do you know how long I've been waiting? why didn't you tell me you're gonna be so long? I could have bought a-"

"whoa relax, I was just sick and needed the bathroom"

"uh.. oh" for once, Lexi was speechless.

I laughed slightly, "let's go Lexi"

She nodded and grabbed my bag for me before catching up with my pace.

After a few minutes of silent walking, I broke the silence.

"Lexi, when do you think should I tell my parents about me being pregnant?"

"soon..."

"soon when?" I asked. I wanted a more specific answer.

"today? or next week? but definitely before your next check up"

"no way today. I mean... it'd be weird right?"

Lexi gave me a look "Oh really? it will forever be 'weird' until you tell them. Trust me, the faster you get this over with, you'll have less stuff to worry about. At least your mum can help you prepare stuff, give you correct advice and so on. And you know it too"

Lexi loves to talk!!! but she gives correct advices. But what will happen when she finds out that her best friends baby's father is her brother? 0.o

actually I wasn't planing on making Lexi's brother be Scarletts's baby's father. I wanted Seth's best friend (Scarlett's older brother) but that would be Pregnant With My Brothers Best Friend and there are many stories like that.

Compilcated I know but it's ok...

Just, can you give me comments on how to do a baby shower and what in the world is that? I've read in other stories but I didn't know what it was. Is it your parents/best friend gives you a surprise party and buys you baby stuff? .... :/
