We dropped off five year old Naomi at school and we cried as she ran into the building with her long locks of brown hair, big blue eyes and tiny little legs. She was beautiful just as we'd said when she was just a month old and Troye and Connor came over before they got engaged. We were so happy to see her go in but so sad because we didn't have our baby home! Hannah was extremely over-whelmed.
Han put her arms around my waist and we waved Naomi off into the world of a student for the rest of her life and we wished her the best of luck!
We went back to the car and cried for 20 minutes.
"Han, let's go home and invite my mom over so Naomi will have a memory of meeting my mom after her first day of school."
"Ok, babe." Hannah cried.
We drove into the garage and parked the car. Hannah and I walked into the house and cuddled for an hour as we missed our baby. I called my Mom over to see Naomi as a toddler.
Mom came in to see Hannah crying on the sofa.
"What's wrong sweetheart?"
"I just miss Naomi so much and it's so overwhelming to see our daughter go into the world of a student." Hannah explained. I held her hand and cuddled up to her.
"I was exactly like this when Grid went to school! I didn't want anything bad to happen to her and I wanted her at home to cuddle but it was the only thing we could do! I was so sad." Mom said, remembering everything.
"Really?!"
"Of course! It was because we loved her. Hahaha" mom laughed.
It was time to pick Nao up from school. We went to the front gate and waved at Nao from afar. She came running up and gave her Nana a hug and then she gave me and her Mom a hug and we swung her back and forth holding her hand all the way back to the car. Nana laughing.
Naomi, Hannah, Mom and I all came back home and had pizza for dinner as a present for being good at school. We watched a film called "Spirited Away" which Joey, her uncle, loved! It was also her favourite film and we watched her point at things and eat pizza as we watched. It was great fun.
"It's time for me to get back home, Grid."
"Bye, Mom. Today was great." I cried into her chest.
"Bye, bye Nana." Nao ran up to hug her and joined in crying. Hannah came and gave us all a big hug and walked my Mom to the door.
"Thanks for coming!" Hannah said
"Thanks for having me darling!" Mom replied.
We put Nao to bed at 7:00 and read her a story. She was beautiful and intelligent. She fell asleep and we turned the light off and left the room placing a kiss on her forehead. Hannah and I kissed passionately before we went back downstairs. My wife is a great person I love her so much!
We both went to bed at 10:00 and woke up the next morning at 7:00 to drop Nao off at school.
